AI 기반 디지털 병리 솔루션 기업 에이비스(AIVIS, 대표 이대홍)가 2025 K-디지털그랜드챔피언십에서 우수상을 수상했다고 23일 밝혔다. 본 경진대회는 과학기술정보통신부 주최, 정보통신산업진흥원(NIPA) 주관으로 AI·데이터 기반 혁신 기술을 보유한 기업을 발굴하는 정부 주관 행사다. 올해 결선에는 TOP 7개 팀이 참여했으며, 의료 AI 분야에서는 에이비스가 유일하게 이름을 올렸다.
에이비스는 이번 수상으로 2,000만원 상금과 함께 내년도 정부 지원 사업 연계 및 투자 유치 기회 등 혜택을 확보했다. 결선에서 에이비스는 핵심 솔루션 ‘콴티 IHC(Qanti® IHC)’를 활용한 암 진단 정확도 향상 성과와 임상 적용 사례를 발표하며 심사위원단으로부터 높은 평가를 받았다.
‘콴티 IHC’는 병리 의사 간 진단 편차와 바이오마커 판독 복잡도를 개선하기 위해 AI 기반 정량 분석 기능을 제공한다. 지난해 9월 식약처 허가를 획득한 솔루션은 출시 1년 만에 국내 12개 주요 상급종합병원에 도입되며 빠른 성장세를 보이고 있다. 도입 병원은 병리 형태계측 수가 청구 근거 확보가 가능해 임상 효용성과 경영적 가치를 동시에 확보할 수 있다.
국제 무대에서도 에이비스의 기술력은 입증됐다. 지난 12월 싱가포르에서 열린 ‘ESMO Asia 2025’에서 삼성서울병원 유방암 환자 168명을 대상으로 ‘콴티 Breast HER2’ AI를 활용한 HER2 진단 성능을 검증했다. 결과, AI 사용 시 병리 의사 간 Fleiss’ kappa 계수가 0.5181에서 0.7232로 상승하며 진단 정확도가 개선됐다.
에이비스는 글로벌 확장도 추진 중이다. 한국아스트라제네카와 협력해 HER2 저발현 유방암 진단 환경 개선 프로젝트를 진행하며, 필립스, 로슈, 라이카 등 글로벌 병리 장비 기업과 협력 관계를 구축하고 있다. 아시아 주요 병원 20여 곳에서 PoC를 진행하며 해외 시장 진출 가능성을 탐색하고 있다.

Avis Wins Excellence Award at the 2025 K-Digital Grand Championship
AIVIS (CEO Daehong Lee), an AI-based digital pathology solutions company, announced on the 23rd that it had won an Excellence Award at the 2025 K-Digital Grand Championship. Hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), the competition is a government-sponsored event that seeks to discover companies with innovative AI and data-based technologies. This year, the top seven teams participated in the finals, with AIVIS being the only one to make it into the medical AI category.
With this award, Avis secured a cash prize of 20 million won and other benefits, including opportunities to participate in government-funded projects and attract investment next year. In the final round, Avis presented its improved cancer diagnosis accuracy and clinical application cases utilizing its core solution, "Qanti® IHC," receiving high praise from the judges.
Quanti IHC provides AI-based quantitative analysis capabilities to improve diagnostic variability among pathologists and the complexity of biomarker interpretation. The solution, which received MFDS approval in September of last year, has seen rapid growth, being adopted by 12 major general hospitals in Korea within a year of its launch. Hospitals adopting the solution can secure the basis for billing for pathology morphometry, thereby achieving both clinical utility and business value.
Avis's technological prowess has also been proven on the international stage. At ESMO Asia 2025 in Singapore last December, the "Quanti Breast HER2" AI platform was used to validate the diagnostic performance of HER2 in 168 breast cancer patients at Samsung Medical Center. The results showed that using the AI, the Fleiss kappa coefficient between pathologists increased from 0.5181 to 0.7232, significantly improving diagnostic accuracy.
Avis is also pursuing global expansion. It is collaborating with AstraZeneca Korea on a project to improve the diagnostic environment for HER2-low-expressing breast cancer and is building partnerships with global pathology equipment companies such as Philips, Roche, and Leica. Avis is conducting proof-of-concept trials at approximately 20 major hospitals in Asia, exploring the potential of entering overseas markets.

Avis remporte le prix d'excellence au K-Digital Grand Championship 2025
AIVIS (PDG : Daehong Lee), entreprise spécialisée dans les solutions de pathologie numérique basées sur l’IA, a annoncé le 23 décembre avoir remporté un prix d’excellence lors du K-Digital Grand Championship 2025. Organisé par le ministère des Sciences et des TIC et l’Agence nationale de promotion de l’industrie des technologies de l’information (NIPA), ce concours, parrainé par le gouvernement, vise à identifier les entreprises innovantes en matière d’IA et de technologies de données. Cette année, les sept meilleures équipes ont participé à la finale, et AIVIS était la seule à concourir dans la catégorie IA médicale.
Grâce à ce prix, Avis a remporté une dotation de 20 millions de wons ainsi que d'autres avantages, notamment la possibilité de participer à des projets financés par le gouvernement et d'attirer des investissements l'année prochaine. Lors de la finale, Avis a présenté l'amélioration de la précision de son diagnostic du cancer et des cas d'application clinique de sa solution phare, « Qanti® IHC », et a reçu les éloges du jury.
Quanti IHC offre des capacités d'analyse quantitative basées sur l'IA afin de réduire la variabilité diagnostique entre les pathologistes et la complexité de l'interprétation des biomarqueurs. Cette solution, qui a reçu l'agrément du MFDS en septembre dernier, a connu une croissance rapide, étant adoptée par 12 grands hôpitaux généraux en Corée moins d'un an après son lancement. Les hôpitaux qui adoptent cette solution peuvent justifier la facturation de la morphométrie en pathologie, optimisant ainsi l'utilité clinique et la rentabilité de leurs analyses.
L'expertise technologique d'Avis a également été démontrée à l'international. Lors du congrès ESMO Asia 2025 à Singapour en décembre dernier, la plateforme d'intelligence artificielle « Quanti Breast HER2 » a été utilisée pour valider la performance diagnostique du gène HER2 chez 168 patientes atteintes d'un cancer du sein au Samsung Medical Center. Les résultats ont montré que l'utilisation de l'IA a permis d'augmenter le coefficient kappa de Fleiss entre les pathologistes de 0,5181 à 0,7232, améliorant ainsi significativement la précision du diagnostic.
Avis poursuit également son expansion internationale. L'entreprise collabore avec AstraZeneca Corée sur un projet visant à améliorer le diagnostic du cancer du sein faiblement exprimant HER2 et noue des partenariats avec des fabricants internationaux d'équipements de pathologie tels que Philips, Roche et Leica.
