글로벌 종합 제조 플랫폼 기업 서진시스템이 AI 로봇 전문기업 코윈테크와 협력해 ‘서진 AI 로봇 파운드리’ 사업을 본격화한다. 서진시스템은 지난 23일 코윈테크와 첨단 AI 로봇 및 자동화 사업 협력을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 24일 밝혔다. 이번 협약은 글로벌 로봇 산업의 제조 패러다임 혁신을 목표로 한다.
서진 AI 로봇 파운드리는 반도체 산업의 파운드리 모델을 하드웨어 제조에 도입한 개념으로, 서진시스템은 베트남 캠퍼스의 대규모 인프라를 활용해 로봇 제조와 양산을 전담하고, 코윈테크 등 기술 파트너사는 설계, 영업, 엔지니어링에 집중하는 구조다. 이를 통해 서진시스템은 제조 역량을 로봇 산업으로 확장하고, 코윈테크는 별도 설비 투자 없이 안정적인 생산 거점을 확보할 수 있다.
양사는 첫 협력 사례로 글로벌 대용량 에너지저장장치(ESS) 프로젝트에 협력 모델을 적용한다. 서진시스템의 ESS 프로젝트 공정에 코윈테크의 AI 기반 모바일 로봇(AMR/AGV) 자동화 솔루션을 도입해 생산 효율성을 높일 계획이다. 이후 반도체, 2차전지 등 첨단 산업 전반으로 협력 범위를 확대할 방침이다.
성동수 서진시스템 사장은 이번 협약을 통해 서진시스템이 AI 로봇 산업의 생산 기지로 도약할 수 있는 기반을 마련했다고 평가하며, 다양한 기술 기업과 연대해 독자적인 로봇 제조 생태계를 구축하겠다고 밝혔다. 서진시스템은 코윈테크 외에도 삼현, 케이스랩 등 기술 강소기업과 전략적 파트너십을 체결하며 AI 로봇 파운드리 얼라이언스를 확장하고 있다.

They plan to introduce Cowintech's AI-based mobile robot (AMR/AGV) automation solution into Seojin Systems' ESS project process to improve production efficiency. They plan to expand the scope of their collaboration to encompass advanced industries, including semiconductors and secondary batteries.
Seong Dong-soo, CEO of Seojin Systems, evaluated this agreement as laying the foundation for Seojin Systems to leap forward as a production base for the AI robot industry, and announced that the company will build a unique robot manufacturing ecosystem in collaboration with various technology companies. In addition to Cowintech, Seojin Systems is expanding its AI robot foundry alliance by forming strategic partnerships with technology powerhouses such as Samhyun and Case Lab.
