라이프스타일 테크 기업 ㈜커버써먼(대표 이재호)이 서울 성수동에 자체 스마트팩토리를 설립하고 글로벌 시장 대응을 위한 생산 역량 고도화에 나섰다.
커버써먼은 공기·열·빛 등 자연 요소를 활용한 스마트 섬유 기술로 주목받아 왔다. 최근 에어테크, 발열 테크 등 고기능성 제품군에 대한 국내외 수요가 증가함에 따라 핵심 소재 공급 안정성과 품질 관리를 위해 자체 생산 인프라를 구축했다.
약 447㎡ 규모의 스마트팩토리는 정밀 접합 및 재단 공정 전용 설비에 커버써먼의 에어테크 기술 노하우를 반영한 맞춤형 디지털 트랜스포메이션(DX) 시스템을 적용했다. 공정 변수를 체계적으로 관리해 생산 정밀도를 높이고 편차를 최소화하는 것이 특징이다.
스마트팩토리는 카이스트 출신 진준태 CTO가 총괄하고 삼성항공·삼성자동차 출신 박영규 이사가 공정 설계를 담당해 고도화된 생산 라인을 완성했다. 이를 통해 기존 대비 납기 리드타임을 30% 이상 단축하고 대량 생산성을 강화했으며, 고객사의 다양한 요구에도 유연하게 대응할 수 있는 체계를 확보했다.
또한 커버써먼은 ISO 9001(품질경영시스템)과 ISO 14001(환경경영시스템) 인증을 획득해 제품 설계, 제조, 품질 및 환경 관리 전반이 국제 표준에 부합함을 공식적으로 입증했다.
현재 시양산을 진행 중인 스마트팩토리는 4월부터 본격 가동된다. 에어 필로우 및 에어 자켓 키트의 연간 생산량을 최대 8배까지 확대해 안정적 공급 체계를 구축하고, 국내외 주요 유통 채널과의 협업을 통해 글로벌 시장 대응을 강화할 계획이다.

Cover Summon establishes smart factory in Seongsu-dong
Lifestyle tech company Coversummon (CEO Jaeho Lee) has established its own smart factory in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, and is working to enhance its production capabilities to respond to the global market.
Coverthermon has been attracting attention for its smart textile technology that utilizes natural elements like air, heat, and light. With growing domestic and international demand for high-functionality products like air tech and heat-generating tech, Coverthermon has established its own production infrastructure to ensure a stable supply of core materials and quality control.
The approximately 447-square-meter smart factory features a customized digital transformation (DX) system that incorporates Coverthermon's airtech expertise into dedicated equipment for precision bonding and cutting processes. Its key feature is its systematic management of process variables, enhancing production precision and minimizing deviations.
The Smart Factory, overseen by CTO Jin Jun-tae, a KAIST graduate, and led by Director Park Young-gyu, a former Samsung Aerospace and Samsung Motors employee, oversaw the process design, has completed an advanced production line. This has reduced lead times by over 30% compared to previous models, enhanced mass productivity, and established a system that can flexibly respond to diverse customer needs.
Additionally, Coversummon has obtained ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) certifications, officially proving that its product design, manufacturing, quality, and environmental management all meet international standards.
The smart factory, currently undergoing mass production, will begin full operation in April. The company plans to expand annual production of air pillows and air jacket kits by up to eight times, establishing a stable supply system and strengthening its global market presence through collaboration with major domestic and international distribution channels.
“Our own smart factory is a production infrastructure for directly implementing and managing core airtech technologies,” said Lee Jae-ho, CEO of Coversummon. “By directly operating the functional material process, we will improve quality and supply stability, and strengthen our competitiveness in the global market.”

また、カバーサモンはISO 9001（品質マネジメントシステム）とISO 14001（環境マネジメントシステム）認証を獲得し、製品設計、製造、品質および環境管理全般が国際標準に適合することを公式に立証した。
現在試養産を進行中のスマートファクトリーは4月から本格稼働する。エアピローおよびエアジャケットキットの年間生産量を最大8倍まで拡大し、安定供給システムを構築し、国内外の主要流通チャネルとの協業を通じてグローバル市場対応を強化する計画だ。

目前正在进行批量生产的智能工厂将于4月全面投产。公司计划将气枕和气囊套件的年产量提高至多八倍，并通过与国内外主要分销渠道合作，建立稳定的供应体系，并加强其全球市场地位。

L'usine intelligente, supervisée par Jin Jun-tae, directeur technique et diplômé de KAIST, et dirigée par Park Young-gyu, ancien employé de Samsung Aerospace et Samsung Motors, a conçu une ligne de production de pointe. Celle-ci a permis de réduire les délais de livraison de plus de 30 % par rapport aux modèles précédents, d'améliorer la productivité et de mettre en place un système capable de s'adapter aux besoins variés des clients.
De plus, Coversummon a obtenu les certifications ISO 9001 (Système de gestion de la qualité) et ISO 14001 (Système de gestion environnementale), prouvant officiellement que la conception, la fabrication, la qualité et la gestion environnementale de ses produits répondent toutes aux normes internationales.
L'usine intelligente, actuellement en production de masse, atteindra sa pleine capacité en avril. L'entreprise prévoit de multiplier par huit sa production annuelle de coussins et de gilets gonflables, de mettre en place un système d'approvisionnement stable et de renforcer sa présence sur le marché mondial grâce à une collaboration avec les principaux réseaux de distribution nationaux et internationaux.
« Notre usine intelligente est une infrastructure de production permettant la mise en œuvre et la gestion directes des technologies aérospatiales clés », a déclaré Lee Jae-ho, PDG de Coversummon. « En maîtrisant directement le processus de fabrication des matériaux fonctionnels, nous améliorerons la qualité et la stabilité de l'approvisionnement, et renforcerons notre compétitivité sur le marché mondial. »
