AI 모델 최적화 및 경량화 기술 기업 노타(대표 채명수)는 대전시와 대전정보문화산업진흥원이 추진하는 ‘차세대 디지털 선도기업’ 육성 사업에 3년 연속 선정됐다고 11일 밝혔다.
이번 선정은 기업의 기술 경쟁력과 실제 상용화 성과, 지역 기반 성장 가능성 등을 종합적으로 평가해 이루어졌다. 노타는 2015년 카이스트 연구진이 대전에서 창업한 AI 기술 기업으로, 지역 연구기관 및 산업계와 협력하며 기술 개발과 사업화를 이어왔다. 창업 이후 연구개발 인력을 지속적으로 확대하며 대전을 중심으로 AI 산업 생태계 형성에도 참여해 왔다.
차세대 디지털 선도기업 육성 사업은 지역 디지털 기업을 글로벌 경쟁력을 갖춘 중견기업으로 성장시키기 위해 마련된 프로그램이다. 3년에 걸쳐 단계별 평가를 진행하며 선정 기업 수를 점진적으로 줄이는 방식으로 운영된다. 노타는 2024년 8개 기업 선정 단계부터 참여해 2025년 5개 기업, 2026년 최종 3개 기업에 포함됐다.
이번 평가에서는 노타의 AI 모델 경량화·최적화 기술과 이를 자동화한 플랫폼 ‘넷츠프레소(NetsPresso®)’가 주요 경쟁력으로 인정받았다. 넷츠프레소는 다양한 하드웨어 환경에 맞춰 AI 모델을 압축하고 최적화해 배포할 수 있도록 지원하는 플랫폼이다. 모델 크기를 최대 90% 이상 줄이면서도 성능을 유지할 수 있어 온디바이스 AI와 피지컬 AI 구현을 위한 경량 모델 개발에 활용되고 있다.
최근에는 삼성전자 엑시노스 2600과 퓨리오사AI의 레니게이드 AI 반도체에 최적화 기술을 공급하는 계약을 체결하며 글로벌 및 국내 AI 반도체 환경에서 기술 적용 사례를 확보했다.
산업 현장에서의 활용 사례도 평가에 반영됐다. 노타가 개발한 비전·언어 모델(VLM) 기반 영상 관제 솔루션 ‘노타 비전 에이전트(NVA)’는 실시간 영상 분석을 통해 상황 인지와 이상 감지 기능을 제공하며 제조 현장과 산업 안전 분야 등에서 활용되고 있다.
또한 노타는 대전을 기반으로 성장한 기업으로 지역 인재 채용 확대와 지역 프로젝트 참여를 통해 지역 산업 발전에도 기여하고 있다는 평가를 받았다. 회사는 대전시 ITS 구축 사업과 공공 인프라 관련 프로젝트 등에 참여하며 지역 기반 사업을 이어오고 있다.
채명수 노타 대표는 “노타는 대전을 중심으로 기술 개발과 산업 현장 적용을 함께 추진하며 성장해 온 AI 기업”이라며 “AI 모델을 실제 디바이스 환경에서 효율적으로 실행할 수 있도록 하는 최적화 기술을 바탕으로 글로벌 시장에서도 경쟁력을 확대해 나갈 계획”이라고 말했다.
한편 최근 AI 반도체와 온디바이스 AI 시장이 확대되면서 AI 모델 경량화와 최적화 기술에 대한 산업계의 관심도 높아지고 있다.

Nota (CEO Chae Myeong-su), an AI model optimization and lightweight technology company, announced on the 11th that it has been selected for the 'Next Generation Digital Leading Company' fostering project promoted by Daejeon City and the Daejeon Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency for the third consecutive year.
This selection was made based on a comprehensive evaluation of the company's technological competitiveness, actual commercialization performance, and regional growth potential. Nota, an AI technology company founded in Daejeon in 2015 by researchers at KAIST, has been developing and commercializing its technology through collaborations with local research institutes and industries. Since its founding, the company has continuously expanded its R&D workforce and participated in the formation of an AI industry ecosystem centered in Daejeon.
The Next-Generation Digital Leaders Program is designed to foster regional digital companies into globally competitive mid-sized enterprises. The program operates over three years, with a phased evaluation process that gradually reduces the number of selected companies. Nota participated in the program starting with the selection of eight companies in 2024, and was selected as one of five companies in 2025 and a final three companies in 2026.
In this evaluation, Nota's AI model lightweighting and optimization technology and its automated platform, NetsPresso®, were recognized as key competitive advantages. NetsPresso is a platform that supports the compression, optimization, and deployment of AI models for various hardware environments. Its ability to reduce model size by up to 90% while maintaining performance makes it a valuable tool for developing lightweight models for on-device AI and physical AI implementations.
Recently, we signed a contract to supply optimized technology for Samsung Electronics' Exynos 2600 and Furiosa AI's Renegade AI semiconductor, securing technology application cases in the global and domestic AI semiconductor environments.
Applications in industrial settings were also reflected in the evaluation. Nota's Vision and Language Model (VLM)-based video surveillance solution, "Nota Vision Agent (NVA)," provides situational awareness and anomaly detection capabilities through real-time video analysis and is being utilized in manufacturing sites and industrial safety fields.
Furthermore, Nota, a Daejeon-based company, has been recognized for contributing to the development of local industries by expanding the recruitment of local talent and participating in local projects. The company continues to operate locally, participating in projects such as the Daejeon ITS construction project and public infrastructure projects.
Nota CEO Chae Myeong-su said, “Nota is an AI company that has grown by pursuing both technology development and industrial application, centered in Daejeon,” and added, “We plan to expand our competitiveness in the global market based on optimization technology that enables efficient execution of AI models in actual device environments.”
Meanwhile, as the AI semiconductor and on-device AI markets have recently expanded, industry interest in AI model lightweighting and optimization technologies is also increasing.

今回の選定は、企業の技術競争力と実際の商用化成果、地域ベースの成長可能性などを総合的に評価して行われた。野田は2015年、カイスト研究陣が大田で創業したAI技術企業で、地域研究機関や産業界と協力して技術開発と事業化を続けてきた。創業以来、研究開発人材を持続的に拡大し、大田を中心にAI産業エコシステム形成にも参加してきた。
次世代デジタル先導企業育成事業は、地域デジタル企業をグローバル競争力を備えた中堅企業に成長させるために設けられたプログラムである。 3年にわたって段階的評価を行い、選定企業数を徐々に減らす方法で運営される。ノータは2024年8社の選定段階から参加し、2025年5社、2026年最終3社に含まれた。
今回の評価では、ノータのAIモデル軽量化・最適化技術とこれを自動化したプラットフォーム「NetsPresso®」が主要競争力として認められた。 Netzpressは、さまざまなハードウェア環境に合わせてAIモデルを圧縮して最適化して展開できるようにサポートするプラットフォームです。モデルサイズを最大90％以上削減しながらも性能を維持することができ、オンデバイスAIとフィジカルAI実装のための軽量モデル開発に活用されている。
最近では、サムスン電子エキシノース2600とプリオサAIのレニゲイドAI半導体に最適化技術を供給する契約を締結し、グローバルおよび国内AI半導体環境で技術適用事例を確保した。
産業現場での活用事例も評価に反映された。ノータが開発したビジョン・言語モデル（VLM）ベースの映像管制ソリューション「ノータビジョンエージェント（NVA）」は、リアルタイム映像分析を通じて状況認知と異常感知機能を提供し、製造現場や産業安全分野などで活用されている。
また、野田は対戦を基盤に成長した企業で、地域人材採用の拡大と地域プロジェクト参加を通じて地域産業の発展にも貢献しているという評価を受けた。同社は大田市ITS構築事業や公共インフラ関連プロジェクトなどに参加し、地域ベースの事業を続けている。

NetsPresso est une plateforme qui prend en charge la compression, l'optimisation et le déploiement de modèles d'IA pour divers environnements matériels.
