우주 지상국 서비스 기업 컨텍은 한국항공우주산업(KAI)과 위성 수출 및 국내외 지상국 구축 사업 협력을 위한 우주 분야 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 16일 밝혔다.
이번 협약에 따라 양사는 위성 수출 과정에서 필요한 지상국 기술 지원과 지상국 시스템 설계 및 개발을 위한 협력 체계를 마련할 계획이다. 특히 KAI의 항공기 수출 사업과 연계해 위성 수출이 추진될 경우 지상국 인프라 구축 분야에서 협력 가능성이 확대될 것으로 기대된다. 향후에는 위성 운영 분야까지 협력 범위가 확대될 가능성도 제기된다.
컨텍은 다목적실용위성 사업인 아리랑7호 프로젝트를 포함한 국가 위성 사업에서 지상국 운영과 위성 데이터 수신 및 처리 업무를 수행하며 관련 기술 역량을 축적해 왔다. 또한 2019년 제주 용암해수단지에 첫 번째 지상국을 구축한 이후 민간 상용 지상국 네트워크를 운영하며 위성 데이터 처리 분야에서 경험을 쌓아왔다.
현재 컨텍은 제주 한림읍에 민간 우주 지상국 단지를 조성 중이다. 해당 단지에는 자체 안테나 2기를 비롯해 글로벌 고객사 요청에 따라 설치되는 안테나를 포함해 총 12기의 저궤도 위성용 안테나가 구축될 예정이다. 이 시설은 오는 4월 정식 개소를 앞두고 있다.
이성희 컨텍 대표는 “이번 협력을 통해 컨텍이 보유한 국내외 지상국 네트워크를 국가 위성 운영에 활용할 수 있게 됐다”며 “뉴스페이스 시대에 맞춰 KAI와의 협력이 기술과 시장 경쟁력 측면에서 시너지를 낼 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.
최근 우주 산업에서는 위성 제작 기업과 지상국 서비스 기업 간 협력을 통해 위성 발사 이후 데이터 수신과 운영까지 아우르는 통합 서비스 구축이 확대되는 흐름을 보이고 있다.

Contec and KAI Sign MOU for Cooperation on Satellite Export and Ground Station Construction
Contec, a space ground station service company, announced on the 16th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) for cooperation in the space sector, including satellite exports and the construction of ground stations at home and abroad.
Under this agreement, the two companies plan to establish a cooperation framework for ground station technical support and the design and development of ground station systems necessary for the satellite export process. In particular, if satellite exports are pursued in conjunction with KAI's aircraft export business, the potential for cooperation in the field of ground station infrastructure construction is expected to expand. There is also a possibility that the scope of cooperation could expand to the field of satellite operation in the future.
Contec has accumulated relevant technical capabilities by performing ground station operations and satellite data reception and processing tasks in national satellite projects, including the Arirang 7 project, a multi-purpose practical satellite project. In addition, since establishing its first ground station at the Jeju Lava Sea Complex in 2019, it has gained experience in the field of satellite data processing by operating a private commercial ground station network.
Contec is currently constructing a private space ground station complex in Hallim-eup, Jeju. The complex is scheduled to house a total of 12 antennas for low-orbit satellites, including two of its own antennas and others installed at the request of global clients. The facility is set to officially open this coming April.
Lee Seong-hee, CEO of Contec, said, “Through this collaboration, we will be able to utilize Contec’s domestic and international ground station network for national satellite operations,” adding, “In line with the New Space era, we expect this cooperation with KAI to create synergy in terms of technology and market competitiveness.”
Recently, the space industry has seen an expanding trend of establishing integrated services that encompass data reception and operation following satellite launch, through cooperation between satellite manufacturers and ground station service providers.

コンテク・KAI、「衛星輸出及び地上局構築協力」 MOU締結
宇宙地上局サービス企業コンテクは韓国航空宇宙産業(KAI)と衛星輸出及び国内外地上国構築事業協力のための宇宙分野業務協約(MOU)を締結したと16日明らかにした。
今回の条約に従い、両社は衛星輸出過程で必要な地上局技術支援と地上局システムの設計・開発のための協力体制を設ける計画だ。特にKAIの航空機輸出事業と連携して衛星輸出が推進される場合、地上局インフラ構築分野で協力可能性が拡大すると期待される。今後は衛星運営分野まで協力範囲が拡大する可能性も提起される。
コンテックは、多目的実用衛星事業であるアリラン7号プロジェクトを含む国家衛星事業で地上局運営と衛星データ受信および処理業務を遂行し、関連技術能力を蓄積してきた。また、2019年に済州溶岩海水団地に最初の地上局を構築した後、民間商用地上局ネットワークを運営し、衛星データ処理分野で経験を積んできた。
現在、コンテクは済州ハンリム邑に民間宇宙地上国団地を造成中だ。同団地には、独自のアンテナ2基をはじめ、グローバル顧客の要望に応じて設置されるアンテナを含め、計12基の低軌道衛星用アンテナが構築される予定だ。この施設は来る4月正式開所を控えている。
イ・ソンヒコンテク代表は「今回の協力を通じてコンテクが保有する国内外の地上局ネットワークを国家衛星運営に活用できるようになった」とし「ニュースペース時代に合わせてKAIとの協力が技術と市場競争力の面で相乗効果をもたらすと期待する」と話した。
最近、宇宙産業では、衛星製作企業と地上局サービス企業間の協力を通じて、衛星発射以後のデータ受信と運営まで合わせる統合サービスの構築が拡大する流れを見せている。

太空地面站服务公司康泰克（Contec ）于16日宣布，已与韩国航空航天工业公司（KAI）签署谅解备忘录（MOU），就太空领域的合作展开讨论，包括卫星出口以及在国内外建设地面站。
根据该协议，两家公司计划建立地面站技术支持以及卫星出口所需地面站系统设计与开发的合作框架。特别是，如果卫星出口与韩国航空航天工业公司（KAI）的飞机出口业务相结合，预计双方在地面站基础设施建设领域的合作潜力将进一步扩大。未来，合作范围也可能扩展至卫星运营领域。
康泰克公司通过在国家卫星项目（包括多用途实用卫星项目阿里郎7号）中执行地面站运行、卫星数据接收和处理任务，积累了相关的技术能力。此外，自2019年在济州熔岩海综合体建立首个地面站以来，该公司通过运营私营商业地面站网络，在卫星数据处理领域积累了丰富的经验。
康泰克公司目前正在济州岛翰林邑建设一座私人空间地面站综合设施。该设施计划容纳共计12座低轨道卫星天线，其中包括康泰克公司自建的两座天线以及应全球客户要求安装的其他天线。该设施预计将于今年四月正式启用。
康泰克公司首席执行官李成熙表示：“通过此次合作，我们将能够利用康泰克的国内和国际地面站网络进行国家卫星运营。”他补充道：“顺应新太空时代的到来，我们期望与韩国航空航天工业公司（KAI）的此次合作能够在技术和市场竞争力方面产生协同效应。”

Contec et KAI signent un protocole d'accord pour la coopération dans le domaine de l'exportation de satellites et de la construction de stations terrestres.
Contec, une société de services de stations terrestres spatiales, a annoncé le 16 avoir signé un protocole d'accord avec Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) pour une coopération dans le secteur spatial, y compris les exportations de satellites et la construction de stations terrestres au pays et à l'étranger.
Aux termes de cet accord, les deux entreprises prévoient d'établir un cadre de coopération pour le support technique des stations au sol ainsi que pour la conception et le développement des systèmes nécessaires à l'exportation de satellites. En particulier, si les exportations de satellites sont menées conjointement avec les activités d'exportation d'aéronefs de KAI, le potentiel de coopération dans le domaine de la construction d'infrastructures de stations au sol devrait s'accroître. Il est également possible que le champ de la coopération s'étende à l'exploitation des satellites à l'avenir.
Contec a acquis une expertise technique reconnue grâce à son expérience dans l'exploitation de stations au sol et le traitement de données satellitaires pour des projets nationaux, notamment le projet Arirang 7, un projet satellitaire polyvalent. Par ailleurs, depuis la mise en service de sa première station au sol au complexe de la mer de lave de Jeju en 2019, elle a développé une expérience dans le traitement des données satellitaires en exploitant un réseau privé de stations au sol commerciales.
Contec construit actuellement un complexe de stations terrestres spatiales privées à Hallim-eup, sur l'île de Jeju. Ce complexe accueillera douze antennes pour satellites en orbite basse, dont deux antennes appartenant à Contec et d'autres installées à la demande de clients internationaux. Son ouverture officielle est prévue en avril prochain.
Lee Seong-hee, PDG de Contec, a déclaré : « Grâce à cette collaboration, nous pourrons utiliser le réseau de stations au sol national et international de Contec pour les opérations satellitaires nationales », ajoutant : « Conformément à l'ère du New Space, nous espérons que cette coopération avec KAI créera une synergie en termes de technologie et de compétitivité sur le marché. »
Récemment, l'industrie spatiale a connu une tendance croissante à la mise en place de services intégrés englobant la réception et l'exploitation des données après le lancement d'un satellite, grâce à la coopération entre les fabricants de satellites et les fournisseurs de services de stations au sol.
