가축 메탄가스 연구 전문 스타트업 메텍 홀딩스(MeTech Holdings, 이하 메텍)가 디지털 축산 전문기업 유라이크코리아(uLikeKorea, 이하 유라이크)의 지분 51%를 확보하고 경영권을 인수했다고 7일 밝혔다.
이번 경영권 인수로 메텍은 자사의 세계 최초 ‘메탄캡슐(Methan Capsule)’ 기술과 유라이크가 보유한 바이오캡슐 ‘라이브케어(LiveCare)’를 결합하여 가축 헬스케어 및 저탄소 시장에서의 경쟁력을 강화할 계획이다. 또한 유라이크가 보유한 30여 개의 특허와 13억 건 이상의 가축 생체 데이터를 활용해 브라질, 미국, 덴마크, 호주 등 글로벌 가축 강국 시장을 동시에 공략할 수 있는 기반을 마련했다.
유라이크코리아는 경구투여형 IoT 바이오 캡슐 ‘라이브케어’를 개발한 가축 헬스케어 전문 기업으로, 이 기술을 통해 소의 반추위에 정확한 생체 정보를 수집하고 이를 인공지능(AI) 분석을 통해 실시간 건강 관리 서비스를 제공하는 플랫폼을 운영하고 있다. 이 기술은 이미 해외 약 8개국에 진출해 있으며, 가축 건강 관리에 중요한 역할을 하고 있다.
메텍은 또한, 소의 위 내부에서 발생하는 메탄가스를 감지할 수 있는 장비인 ‘메탄캡슐’을 개발하여 세계 최초로 메탄가스를 측정하고 저감할 수 있는 기술을 보유하고 있다. 이를 통해 메텍은 저탄소 인증에 필요한 데이터를 제공하고, 가축의 메탄가스를 줄이는 기술을 상용화하고 있다.
메텍홀딩스 박찬목 대표는 “유라이크의 지분 51%를 인수하여 대주주가 되었으며, 앞으로 유라이크코리아와 협력하여 미국과 브라질 시장을 본격적으로 공략할 계획”이라고 밝혔다. 또한, “브라질 룰라 정부가 추진하는 그린실 프로젝트와 연계해 가축 이력 관리 시스템을 약 100만 두 이상에 적용할 예정이며, 상반기 내 시리즈 A 투자 유치를 본격적으로 진행하겠다”고 덧붙였다.

Metec Holdings acquires management rights of 'Ulike Korea'
MeTech Holdings (hereinafter referred to as MeTech), a startup specializing in livestock methane gas research, announced on the 7th that it has acquired a 51% stake in digital livestock company uLikeKorea (hereinafter referred to as uLike) and acquired management rights.
With this management acquisition, Metec plans to strengthen its competitiveness in the livestock healthcare and low-carbon markets by combining its world-first ‘Methan Capsule’ technology with Ulike’s biocapsule ‘LiveCare’. Ulike Korea is a livestock healthcare company that developed the oral IoT bio-capsule 'Livecare'. Through this technology, it collects accurate bio-information from the rumen of cattle and operates a platform that provides real-time health management services through artificial intelligence (AI) analysis. This technology has already been introduced to about 8 countries overseas and is playing an important role in livestock health management.
Metec also developed the 'Methane Capsule', a device that can detect methane gas generated inside the stomach of cattle, and possesses the world's first technology to measure and reduce methane gas. Through this, Metec is providing the data required for low-carbon certification and commercializing technology to reduce methane gas in livestock.
Park Chan-mok, CEO of Metek Holdings, said, “We have acquired a 51% stake in Ulike and become the largest shareholder, and we plan to actively advance into the US and Brazilian markets in cooperation with Ulike Korea going forward.” He added, “We plan to apply the livestock history management system to over 1 million heads in conjunction with the Green Seal Project promoted by the Brazilian Lula government, and we will actively pursue Series A investment attraction within the first half of the year.”

メテックはまた、牛の上部内部で発生するメタンガスを感知できる装置である「メタンカプセル」を開発し、世界で初めてメタンガスを測定して低減できる技術を保有している。これにより、メテックは低炭素認証に必要なデータを提供し、家畜のメタンガスを減らす技術を商用化している。
メテックホールディングスの朴賛浩（パク・チャンモク）代表は「ユライクの持分５１％を買収して大株主となり、今後ユーライクコリアと協力して米国とブラジル市場を本格的に攻略する計画」と明らかにした。また、「ブラジル・ルーラ政府が推進するグリーンシルプロジェクトと連携して家畜履歴管理システムを約100万2以上に適用する予定であり、上半期内のシリーズA投資誘致を本格的に進める」と付け加えた。

MeTech Holdings (ci-après dénommée MeTech), une startup spécialisée dans la recherche sur le gaz méthane provenant du bétail, a annoncé le 7 avoir acquis une participation de 51 % dans la société d'élevage numérique uLikeKorea (ci-après dénommée uLike) et acquis les droits de gestion.
Avec cette acquisition de direction, Metec prévoit de renforcer sa compétitivité sur les marchés de la santé animale et des énergies à faible émission de carbone en combinant sa technologie de « capsule de méthane », une première mondiale, avec la biocapsule « LiveCare » d'Ulike. De plus, en utilisant les quelque 30 brevets et plus de 1,3 milliard de données biométriques sur le bétail détenus par Ulike, la fondation a été établie pour cibler simultanément les marchés mondiaux de l'élevage tels que le Brésil, les États-Unis, le Danemark et l'Australie.
