AI 메드테크 전문기업 웨이센은 11일 강남지인병원과 인공지능 내시경 솔루션 ‘웨이메드 엔도(WAIMed Endo)’의 공급 계약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이번 계약은 인공지능 기반 내시경 기술을 도입해 건강검진 과정에서 소화기 암을 조기에 탐지하고, 조기 치료 가능성을 높이기 위한 목적에서 추진됐다. 강남지인병원은 건강검진을 포함해 용종 절제술, 조기 위암 및 대장암 내시경 절제술(ESD) 등 소화기 내시경 분야에서 다양한 진료 역량을 갖춘 병원으로, 숙련된 의료진과 첨단 장비를 기반으로 정밀 진료를 제공하고 있다.
특히 해당 병원은 2019년부터 대한소화기내시경학회 및 내시경연구재단으로부터 ‘우수내시경실 인증’을 지속적으로 획득해 왔으며, 내시경 검사 품질과 안전성에 대한 신뢰도 또한 높은 평가를 받고 있다.
강남지인병원은 의료 인공지능 분야에서도 지속적인 기술 도입을 통해 혁신적인 진료 환경을 구축해왔다. 흉부 질환 진단을 비롯한 다양한 AI 기반 진단 솔루션을 실제 임상에 적용해 왔으며, 이번 ‘웨이메드 엔도’ 도입 역시 다각도의 평가 과정을 거쳐 결정됐다.
‘웨이메드 엔도’는 소화기 내시경 장비와 연동되어 실시간으로 병변을 감지하고 의료진에게 즉시 알림을 제공하는 인공지능 소프트웨어 의료기기다. 웨이센에 따르면, 강남지인병원에서 해당 솔루션을 사용 중인 의료진은 이상 병변의 탐지 정확성과 검사 효율성 향상에 대해 긍정적인 평가를 내리고 있다.
웨이센 김경남 대표는 “AI 내시경 솔루션의 도입을 통해 보다 정밀하고 안전한 내시경 검사가 가능해질 것”이라며, “특히 대장암 발병률이 높아지는 상황에서, 웨이메드 엔도가 고품질 내시경 진단 환경 조성에 기여할 수 있도록 제품 고도화에 지속적으로 힘쓸 예정”이라고 밝혔다.
강남지인병원 조원영 원장은 “당 병원은 소화기병 특화 병원으로서, 인공지능 기술을 접목해 보다 정밀한 스크리닝 검사가 가능해질 것으로 기대한다”며, “웨이메드 엔도를 적극 활용해 수검자의 소화기 건강 증진과 조기 암 진단에 기여하겠다”고 전했다.

This contract was promoted with the purpose of introducing AI-based endoscopic technology to detect digestive cancers early during health checkups and increase the possibility of early treatment. Gangnam Jin Hospital is a hospital with various treatment capabilities in the field of digestive endoscopy, including health checkups, polypectomy, and endoscopic resection (ESD) of early gastric cancer and colon cancer, and provides precision treatment based on skilled medical staff and cutting-edge equipment.
In particular, the hospital has continuously received 'Excellent Endoscopy Room Certification' from the Korean Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the Endoscopy Research Foundation since 2019, and is also highly regarded for its reliability in terms of endoscopy examination quality and safety.
Gangnam Jin Hospital has also built an innovative treatment environment through continuous technology introduction in the field of medical artificial intelligence. It has applied various AI-based diagnostic solutions, including diagnosing chest diseases, to actual clinical practice, and the introduction of 'Waymed Endo' was also decided after a multi-faceted evaluation process.
'Waymed Endo' is an artificial intelligence software medical device that is linked to a digestive endoscope to detect lesions in real time and provide immediate notifications to medical staff. According to Waysen, medical staff using the solution at Gangnam Jiin Hospital are giving positive evaluations on the accuracy of detecting abnormal lesions and the improvement in examination efficiency.
Waymed Endo CEO Kim Kyung-nam said, “The introduction of AI endoscopy solutions will enable more precise and safer endoscopic examinations,” and added, “In particular, as the incidence of colon cancer is increasing, Waymed Endo will continue to work on product advancements so that it can contribute to creating a high-quality endoscopic diagnostic environment.”

「ウェイメッドエンド」は消火器内視鏡装置と連動してリアルタイムで病変を感知し、医療スタッフに即時通知を提供する人工知能ソフトウェア医療機器だ。ウェイセンによれば、江南地人病院で当該ソリューションを使用している医療スタッフは、異常病変の検出精度と検査効率性の向上について肯定的な評価を下している。
ウェイセンのキム・ギョンナム代表は「AI内視鏡ソリューションの導入により、より精密で安全な内視鏡検査が可能になるだろう」とし、「特に大腸がんの発生率が高くなる状況で、ウェイメドエンドが高品質な内視鏡診断環境の組成に寄与できるように製品の高度化に継続的に努力する予定」と明らかにした。

L'hôpital Gangnam Jin est un hôpital doté de diverses capacités de traitement dans le domaine de l'endoscopie digestive, notamment des bilans de santé, une polypectomie et une résection endoscopique (ESD) pour le cancer gastrique précoce et le cancer du côlon. Il offre un traitement de précision basé sur un personnel médical qualifié et un équipement de pointe.
En particulier, l'hôpital a reçu en permanence la « Certification d'excellente salle d'endoscopie » de la Société coréenne d'endoscopie gastro-intestinale et de la Fondation de recherche sur l'endoscopie depuis 2019, et est également très apprécié pour sa fiabilité en termes de qualité et de sécurité des examens endoscopiques.
