모나용평이 말레이시아의 3개 호텔 및 골프클럽과 전략적 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 7일 밝혔다. 이번 협약은 모나용평이 글로벌 리조트 및 골프 네트워크를 확장하는 중요한 첫걸음으로, 회사의 해외 진출과 글로벌 비즈니스 확대에 박차를 가할 예정이다.
이번 MOU는 말레이시아의 대표적인 고급 호텔 및 골프클럽 세 곳과 체결되었다. 첫 번째로, 파크로얄(Park Royal Serviced Suites & Hotel Kuala Lumpur) 호텔이 포함됐으며, 이 호텔은 글로벌 체인인 팬퍼시픽(Pan Pacific Hotels Group)에서 운영하는 쿠알라룸푸르 도심의 프리미엄 숙박 시설이다.
두 번째로, 로얄셀랑고르골프클럽(The Royal Selangor Golf Club, 이하 RSGC)이 협약에 참여했다. RSGC는 1893년에 설립된 말레이시아에서 가장 오래된 골프클럽 중 하나로, 말레이시아 왕실과 상류층의 주요한 골프장으로 알려져 있다.
세 번째로, 쿠알라룸푸르골프앤컨트리클럽(Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club, 이하 KLGCC)도 협약에 참여했다. KLGCC는 PGA, LPGA, 유러피언 투어 등 골프대회를 유치한 프라이빗 골프클럽으로, 아시아 100대 골프 코스에 선정된 바 있다.
모나용평은 이번 협약을 통해 회원들에게 말레이시아 현지에서의 숙박 및 골프 라운딩 혜택을 제공하고, 아시아권 프리미엄 관광 인프라와의 전략적 시너지를 극대화할 계획이다. 또한, 상호 공동 마케팅 및 서비스 연계를 통해 양사 간의 협력을 강화할 예정이다.
김진수 모나용평 부사장은 “이번 MOU는 모나용평이 국내 대표 리조트로서, 아시아 최고 수준의 골프·레저 인프라와 손을 잡고 글로벌 멤버십 가치를 한층 강화한 사례”라며 “앞으로도 지속적인 해외 협력 확대를 통해 고객 서비스를 넓혀 나갈 것”이라고 밝혔다.

Secondly, the Royal Selangor Golf Club (RSGC) has joined the agreement. RSGC is one of the oldest golf clubs in Malaysia, established in 1893, and is known as a major golf course for the Malaysian royal family and the upper class.
Thirdly, Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC) also participated in the agreement. KLGCC is a private golf club that has hosted golf tournaments such as the PGA, LPGA, and European Tour, and has been selected as one of the top 100 golf courses in Asia.
Through this agreement, Mona Yongpyeong plans to provide its members with accommodation and golf round benefits in Malaysia and maximize strategic synergy with premium tourism infrastructure in Asia. In addition, the two companies plan to strengthen cooperation through mutual joint marketing and service linkages.
