AI 교육기업 위버스브레인은 일본의 이러닝 전문기업 네트러닝(NetLearning)과 전략적 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 22일 밝혔다.
이번 협약을 통해 위버스브레인은 자사의 독자적인 AI 기반 영어 학습 기술을 네트러닝의 온라인 영어 회화 서비스에 적용할 예정이다. 이를 통해 네트러닝은 보다 효율적인 온라인 학습 시스템을 구축하고, 사용자들에게 향상된 학습 경험을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
위버스브레인은 국내 최초로 AI 화상 영어 학습 서비스 ‘맥스AI’를 개발한 기업으로, 실제 원어민과 유사한 대화를 구현하는 자연어처리 및 대화형 AI 기술을 보유하고 있다. 해당 기술은 국내 대기업을 비롯한 다양한 기관에 도입된 바 있으며, 최근에는 콘텐츠 맞춤형 커리큘럼을 자동 생성하는 ‘맥스AI월드’를 출시해 글로벌 시장에서도 관심을 받고 있다.
네트러닝은 일본의 대표적인 교육 플랫폼 기업으로, 시세이도, 캐논, 닛산 등 약 7,000개 이상의 기업 및 교육기관을 고객사로 보유하고 있다. 이번 협업을 통해 AI 기반 외국어 학습 서비스 고도화를 추진하고 있으며, 양사는 향후 다양한 교육 콘텐츠 영역에서 기술 협력을 확대할 방침이다.

AI education company Weverse Brain announced on the 22nd that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with Japanese e-learning company NetLearning.
Through this agreement, Weverse Brain will apply its proprietary AI-based English learning technology to Netlearning’s online English conversation service. Weverse Brain is the first company in Korea to develop an AI video English learning service called 'Max AI', and possesses natural language processing and conversational AI technology that implements conversations similar to actual native speakers. The technology has been introduced to various institutions including domestic large corporations, and recently, it has been receiving attention in the global market by launching 'Max AI World', which automatically generates a content-tailored curriculum.
Net Learning is a leading educational platform company in Japan, with over 7,000 companies and educational institutions as clients, including Shiseido, Canon, and Nissan. Through this collaboration, they are promoting the advancement of AI-based foreign language learning services, and the two companies plan to expand their technological cooperation in various educational content areas in the future.
