우주 AI 종합 솔루션 기업 텔레픽스(대표 조성익)가 일본 투자회사 엘리펀트 디자인 홀딩스(ELEPHANT DESIGN HOLDINGS)로부터 전략적 투자를 유치했다고 18일 밝혔다.
엘리펀트 디자인 홀딩스는 일본 도쿄에 본사를 둔 벤처 스튜디오로, 집적경제이론에 기반해 물류, 금융, 농업, 게임 등 다양한 분야에서 장기 성장 가능성을 보이는 기업에 투자하고 있다. 해당 기업은 과거 온라인 기반 크라우드 소싱 비즈니스를 선도했으며, 사용자 디자인 제품화 플랫폼을 개발해 덴마크 레고 그룹에 매각한 바 있다.
텔레픽스는 위성 제조(Upstream)부터 위성정보 분석(Downstream)까지 전 밸류체인에 걸쳐 글로벌 수준의 우주 AI 기술을 보유하고 있으며, 특히 국내 최초로 초점조절 기술과 AI 엣지 컴퓨터를 적용한 큐브위성 ‘블루본(BlueBON)’과 인공위성 영상 활용 에이전틱 AI ‘샛챗(SatCHAT)’의 기술력을 인정받아 이번 투자 유치에 성공했다.
이번 투자를 기반으로 텔레픽스는 엘리펀트 디자인 홀딩스의 고성장 비즈니스 육성 경험과 자사의 우주 AI 기술을 결합해 일본 시장을 중심으로 글로벌 진출을 가속화할 계획이다. 엘리펀트 디자인 홀딩스는 향후 텔레픽스에 대한 추가 투자도 검토 중이다.
민병수 텔레픽스 기획조정실장은 “이번 일본 투자 유치는 기술력을 글로벌 무대에서 인정받는 중요한 계기이며, 일본 시장 진출의 교두보 확보라는 점에서 의미가 크다”라며 “추가 투자 유치와 협력을 통해 우주 AI 솔루션의 확장과 글로벌 시장 내 입지 강화를 추진하겠다”고 말했다.
엘리펀트 디자인 홀딩스 관계자는 “텔레픽스는 위성 제조부터 위성 영상 분석에 이르는 가치 사슬 전반에서 전문성을 갖춘 글로벌 우주 AI 리더”라며 “다양한 산업에서 입증된 텔레픽스의 잠재력을 바탕으로 해외 확장을 지원하게 되어 기쁘다”고 밝혔다.

Telepix Attracts Japanese Investment.. “Full-scale Entry into Global Space AI Market”
Telepix (CEO Sungik Cho), a comprehensive space AI solution company, announced on the 18th that it has attracted strategic investment from Japanese investment firm ELEPHANT DESIGN HOLDINGS.
Elephant Design Holdings is a venture studio headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, which invests in companies with long-term growth potential in various fields such as logistics, finance, agriculture, and games based on the theory of agglomeration economies. The company previously led an online-based crowdsourcing business and developed a user-designed productization platform that was sold to the Danish Lego Group.
Telepix possesses global-level space AI technology across the entire value chain from satellite manufacturing (Upstream) to satellite information analysis (Downstream), and in particular, it was successful in attracting this investment in recognition of its technological prowess in ‘BlueBON,’ the cube satellite that applied focus control technology and AI edge computer for the first time in Korea, and ‘SatCHAT,’ an agentic AI that utilizes satellite images.
Based on this investment, Telepix plans to accelerate its global expansion, focusing on the Japanese market, by combining Elephant Design Holdings’ experience in fostering high-growth businesses with its own space AI technology. Elephant Design Holdings is also considering additional investments in Telepix in the future.
Min Byeong-su, head of Telepix’s planning and coordination office, said, “This investment from Japan is an important opportunity to have our technological prowess recognized on the global stage, and it is also significant in that it secures a bridgehead for entering the Japanese market.” He added, “Through additional investment and cooperation, we will pursue the expansion of our space AI solutions and strengthen our position in the global market.”

エレファントデザインホールディングス関係者は「テレフィックスは衛星製造から衛星映像分析に至るバリューチェーン全般で専門性を備えたグローバル宇宙AIリーダー」とし「多様な産業で立証されたテレフィックスの潜在力をもとに海外拡張を支援することができてうれしい」と明らかにした。

Telepix (PDG Sungik Cho), une société de solutions complètes d'IA spatiale, a annoncé le 18 avoir attiré un investissement stratégique de la société d'investissement japonaise ELEPHANT DESIGN HOLDINGS.
Elephant Design Holdings est un studio de capital-risque basé à Tokyo, au Japon. Il investit dans des entreprises à fort potentiel de croissance à long terme dans divers secteurs tels que la logistique, la finance, l'agriculture et les jeux vidéo, en s'appuyant sur la théorie des économies d'agglomération.
