브릴스(대표 전진)는 한봄고등학교와 스마트 기술 인재 양성을 위한 산학협력 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 22일 밝혔다. 이번 협약은 산업 현장의 수요에 부합하는 실무 중심 교육 체계 구축을 목표로 한다.
협약식은 21일 인천 송도에 위치한 브릴스 본사에서 진행됐으며, 브릴스 전진 대표이사, 한봄고등학교 이점주 교감을 비롯한 양 기관 관계자들이 참석했다. 협약식과 함께 ‘2025 중소기업 특성화고 인력양성사업 성과관리위원회 워크숍’도 병행됐으며, 참가자들은 브릴스의 로봇 솔루션과 기술력을 직접 견학하는 시간을 가졌다.
이번 협약을 통해 양측은 ▲지능형·산업용 로봇 제어 기술 기반 교육과정 공동 개발 ▲산업인력 양성 및 일자리 창출 협력 ▲현장실습 및 취업 연계를 위한 실무 중심 프로그램 운영 등에 협력할 계획이다. 이를 통해 4차 산업혁명 핵심 분야인 스마트 팩토리 및 자동화 산업에서 경쟁력을 갖춘 인재를 육성한다는 방침이다.
브릴스는 로봇 제어 시스템, 자율주행 플랫폼, 산업 자동화 솔루션 등을 자체 개발하며 로봇 산업 내 기술력을 축적해온 기업이다. 최근에는 한양대학교 ERICA, 한국공학대학교, 서울인공지능고등학교 등과의 협력을 통해 로봇 교육 인프라 확장에도 나서고 있다.
브릴스 관계자는 “이번 협약은 미래 산업 환경에 대응할 수 있는 직무 중심 교육 모델을 확산하는 데 기여할 것”이라며 “기술과 교육이 결합된 실질적인 산학협력을 통해 청소년들의 역량 강화와 취업 연계가 동시에 이루어지도록 하겠다”고 밝혔다.
