The Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (CEO Won-kyung Kim, hereinafter referred to as the Gyeonggi Innovation Center) announced on the 28th that it successfully held the 39th CEO Club Program at the Pangyo Startup Zone on the 27th.
The CEO Club is a monthly networking program for representatives of companies located in the Pangyo Startup Zone and incubated companies at the Gyeonggi Innovation Center. The goal is to foster entrepreneurship and foster information exchange. The Startup Zone is Korea's largest startup support cluster, established by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and jointly operated by the Korea Institute for Startup & Entrepreneurship Development and the Gyeonggi Innovation Center.
This program was held under the theme of 'Talent Acquisition and Organizational Culture Formation for Startups', and Startup Alliance Center Director Lee Ki-dae and labor attorney Oh Hyeong-seop of Yale Labor Law Firm participated as speakers and gave lectures and discussions focusing on personnel and organizational management issues faced by startups.
In the first part of the lecture, Center Director Lee Ki-dae explained, using case studies, the importance of developing HR strategies tailored to a company's growth stage and ways to reduce turnover and ensure team sustainability. The following talk concert provided an opportunity for participants to share practical HR-related concerns based on pre-arranged questions and engage freely with the audience.
In Part 2, labor attorney Oh Hyeong-seop introduced practical examples of labor-management issues frequently encountered in startups and considerations for hiring and personnel management. The program was held in a brown bag meeting format with lunch, allowing participants to exchange ideas and network in a more relaxed atmosphere.
A startup representative who attended the event said, “Organizational culture and talent recruitment are always areas of concern, but it was beneficial to be able to receive practical advice,” and “Exchanging information with other companies was also very helpful.”
An official from the Gyeonggi Innovation Center said, “This CEO Club was an in-depth opportunity to discuss personnel and organizational issues in the startup management field,” and added, “We will continue to contribute to the startup ecosystem through practical support and exchanges.”
