
Mission Law Firm (CEO Attorney Seonghun Kim) announced on the 29th that it held a seminar titled ‘Global Strategies for Overseas Startups’ at the multipurpose hall of D-Camp Seolleung in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on August 28th.
This seminar was organized to enhance understanding of the expanded overseas startup system following the revisions to the Startup Support Act and to share global expansion strategies. Hosted by Mission Law Firm and co-hosted by Wilt Venture Builder and Translink Investment, the seminar was sponsored by the Bank of Korea Youth Entrepreneurship Foundation, D.Camp.
Approximately 100 people attended the seminar, including startup founders, executives, and venture capitalists. The seminar focused on practical topics, including legal requirements, real-world examples of market entry, and global strategies from an investment perspective.
The sessions were conducted in the following order: ▲Overseas Startup System and Cross-Border Company Strategy (Kim Seong-hun, Managing Attorney at Mission Law Firm) ▲Evolution of Korean Startup Ecosystem and Investment Strategy in the AI Era (Park Hee-deok, CEO of Translink Investment) ▲Case of Entry into the US Market: Habit Factory’s Expansion Strategy (Jeong Yun-ho, CEO of Habit Factory) ▲AI Native Venture Studio and Global Venture Building Model (Won Dae-ro, CEO of Wilt Venture Builder).
In his presentation, CEO Kim Seong-hoon stated, “The overseas startup system provides a legal and institutional foundation for entrepreneurs seeking to operate within a multinational ecosystem,” adding, “This allows startups to secure capital and opportunities in a broader market.”
CEO Park Hee-deok said, "For startups considering overseas expansion, the overseas startup system can serve as a foundation for attracting global investment and growth," and emphasized that the direction of the Korean venture investment market also needs to change to align with global standards.
Habit Factory CEO Jeong Yun-ho shared his experience entering the U.S. mortgage market, stating, “There were various regulations and practical challenges during the entry process, and thorough prior preparation is crucial.”
CEO Won Dae-ro emphasized the need for a strategic approach leveraging global hubs like Singapore, saying, “The advancement of AI is changing the very way we start businesses, and the AI-native venture studio model will become the core of next-generation startups.”
Mission Law Firm plans to continue providing legal support and strategic consulting to startups preparing for cross-border expansion, based in Seoul and Silicon Valley.
