The Busan-Ulsan Tourism Venture Association signed a business agreement with the Seomyeon Medical Street Medical Tourism Association.

The Busan-Ulsan Tourism Venture Association announced on August 26 that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Seomyeon Medical Street Medical Tourism Association (hereinafter referred to as SMS).

This agreement was made with the aim of establishing a mutual cooperation system between the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Tourism Venture Association, which represents tourism startups and venture companies in the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region, and SMS, which focuses on medical institutions in the Seomyeon area of Busan.

The two organizations plan to discover and promote joint projects across medical tourism and the broader tourism industry, and jointly conduct promotional and marketing activities leveraging domestic and international networks. Furthermore, they aim to strengthen connections between the local medical and tourism industries and contribute to the creation of a global medical tourism hub centered in Busan.

An official from the Busan-Ulsan Tourism Venture Association said, “Through this agreement, the local tourism and medical tourism industries will establish a mutually complementary cooperation model, contributing to strengthening competitiveness,” and added, “We will continue to seek ways to cooperate that will provide practical help to our member companies and local communities.”
