Superb AI (CEO Hyunsoo Kim), a vision AI specialized company, announced on the 10th that it was selected as the winner in the image recognition category at the 'AI Market AWARD 2025 Summer' hosted by Japan's BizTech Co., Ltd.
The "AI Market AWARD" is a system that evaluates Japanese AI technology companies by category. Winners are selected based on a comprehensive analysis of technological prowess, customer reviews, and market performance across eight areas, including generative AI, image recognition and generation, demand forecasting, LLM/RAG, and data analysis. This year's awardees included local Japanese companies such as AVILEN and Mizuho Research & Technologies.
Superb AI was selected as the winner in the image recognition category based on its proprietary vision AI platform, the "Superb Platform." The platform is an MLOps solution that integrates the entire AI development process, from data labeling to model training and deployment, and includes detailed modules such as "Superb Curate," "Superb Label," and "Superb Model."
Recently, Superb AI unveiled its industry-specific vision foundation model, "ZERO." The model was trained on approximately 900,000 data points and features a structure that allows field application using only text or image prompts, without additional training. It ranked second in the CVPR 2025 Challenge.
Founded in 2018, Superbrain AI currently has corporations in Korea, the United States, and Japan and provides vision AI solutions to over 100 companies, including Samsung, LG Electronics, Hyundai Motor Company, and Qualcomm. It holds security certifications such as SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 and has attracted a cumulative investment of 49 billion won to date.
In the Japanese market, the company is expanding its local partnerships, including renewing its contract with Toyota and continuing its collaboration with Nippon Steel. Recently, the company has expanded its customer base to include national research institutes and major electronics manufacturers. The platform is being utilized in areas such as autonomous driving, defect detection, and motion analysis, and an on-premise version is also available.
