The Invention Lab (CEO Jinyoung Kim), a specialist in early-stage investment, announced on the 11th that it has formed 'The Invention Lab Growth Ladder Joint Venture No. 3' with KR Investment & Securities (CEO Inhyeok Lee) and X-Alliance (CEO Sangwoo Jeon) participating as limited partners (LPs).
The Invention Lab, as the fund's General Partner (GP), plans to make strategic investments in early-stage lifestyle-based brand companies (LICON: Lifestyle Iconic Companies) as its primary investment targets.
This fund's core strategy is to foster organic collaboration with the "Local Investment Partnership Ship (LIPS)," a program linked to the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' early-stage startup package. Specifically, the fund will proactively identify and invest in brands with high potential for recovery and proven marketability in areas such as fashion, beauty, miscellaneous goods, and content.
The Invention Lab plans to help establish a foundation for sustainable growth by providing seed and follow-up investments to early-stage brand companies with online-based sales growth, along with follow-up support such as acceleration, TIPS, and LIPS program recommendations.
Kim Jin-young, CEO of The Invention Lab, said, “This fund was designed around three criteria: financial recovery potential, brand growth potential, and the possibility of linking with public programs,” and added, “We will provide financial and strategic support to early-stage brand entrepreneurs so that they can leap forward as entrepreneurial startup models through the growth ladder.”
