AI climate tech company ThanksCarbon (CEO Kim Hae-won) announced on the 19th that it was finally selected for the 'Social Open Innovation 2nd' program hosted by Shinhan Square Bridge Vietnam.
Starting with the '2025 Shinhan Square Bridge Second Half Integrated Kickoff' held in Incheon on the 17th, the participating companies will carry out an official schedule for approximately 6 months. 'Social Open Innovation' is a program that supports successful collaboration and global expansion between large and medium-sized enterprises and public institutions of startups with excellent technologies, ideas, and innovation that can innovatively solve problems in the education and agriculture sectors of Vietnam. Various benefits are provided, such as ▲all-in-one mentoring for global market entry and localization ▲local business meeting linkage and travel expense support ▲PoC support payment ▲opportunity to participate in demo days ▲linkage with local companies and investment attraction ▲additional scale-up support for excellent companies.
This selection is significant as it officially recognizes the excellence, growth potential, social impact, and global scalability of ThanksCarbon's self-developed AI climate tech technology. ThanksCarbon will collaborate with local Vietnamese companies and agricultural organizations to receive scale-up support, including technology verification (Proof of Concept, PoC), business localization, and solution service product expansion. Through this program, ThanksCarbon will directly verify solutions for responding to the climate crisis and building a sustainable agricultural ecosystem in Vietnam. In particular, by expanding global partnerships and applying climate tech technology to solve local problems, it will pursue both social value and business growth.
Kim Hae-won, CEO of ThanksCarbon, said, “Vietnam is a country where structural problems in the agricultural sector are worsening due to climate change,” and added, “Through this social open innovation program, we will localize sustainable solutions with local Vietnamese partners and grow once again as a global AI climate tech company.”
