Mori selected as a "Tips" by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups

Incheon Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (Center Director Lee Han-seop, hereinafter referred to as Incheon Center) announced on the 22nd that its investment company Mori Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Gyu-seok, Lee Joo-ho) was finally selected for the technology startup support program 'TIPS' hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

TIPS is a program that collaborates with private investment firms and the government to discover and nurture technology-based startups. The government provides follow-up support, including research and development (R&D) funding, to startups that have received private investment. With this selection, Mori will receive up to 500 million won in government R&D funding over the next two years.

Mori's Tips selection was based on investment from the Incheon Changgyeong Newborn Investment Association No. 1 (jointly managed by Incheon Center and Newborn Ventures), which was established with the support of Incheon Metropolitan City, and recommendations from the Incheon Center.

Mori Co., Ltd. is developing an intelligent image security solution to address the problem of AI technology unauthorized learning of creative image data. Key technologies include an anti-AI filter to prevent AI learning and an invisible watermark, and proofs of concept (PoCs) are currently underway in various industries, including webtoon studios and stock image platforms.

Incheon Center Director Lee Han-seop said, “Amid the rapid spread of AI image generation technology, Mori’s technology presents a meaningful alternative in terms of protecting creators,” and “We expect that the research and development funds secured through TIPS selection will be of practical help in Mori’s technological advancement and entry into the global market.”

Mori Co., Ltd. CEO Kim Gyu-seok said, “Through the selection of TIPS, we will leap forward as a global image security platform that can protect the rights of creators,” and “We will contribute to creating an environment where creators’ rights are respected even in the AI era.”
