The Korea Elevator University and the Korea Center for Enterprise Support for Persons with Disabilities signed a business agreement.

The Center for Comprehensive Support for Enterprises for Persons with Disabilities (Chairman Park Maru) announced on September 19 that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Elevator University (President Lee Hyeon-seok) for the purpose of ‘building a regional industry-based regional settlement ecosystem for persons with disabilities.’

This agreement aims to strengthen support for entrepreneurship for people with disabilities to settle into their communities and achieve economic independence, and to support sustainable lives for people with disabilities through customized job and entrepreneurship training linked to local industries.

Korea Elevator University operates an educational program for people with disabilities, specialized in industries in the Gyeongnam region, through the Regional Innovation System & Education (RISE) project. The Comprehensive Support Center for Enterprises for Persons with Disabilities provides startup support through regional centers established in Gyeongnam, Busan, Ulsan, and other regions. This agreement is expected to foster practical collaboration between the two organizations.

After the signing ceremony, Chairman Park Maru held a meeting with parents of disabled children and educators to explain the startup support system and main projects of the Comprehensive Support Center for Disabled Enterprises.

Chairman Park stated, “We will expand effective support through collaboration between the public, private, and academic sectors to enable people with disabilities to settle into their communities and achieve economic independence through entrepreneurship.”
