MayI Signs Strategic Business Agreement with ControlM

Image processing artificial intelligence startup Mayi (CEO Chan-gyu Kim) announced on the 29th that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with food tech company Control M (CEO Jong-gwan Won) to develop AI solutions for the restaurant industry and expand its business.

The two companies aim to develop the AI ecosystem and strengthen competitiveness by cooperating in areas such as data linkage and utilization, offline store operation support, and joint marketing.

Mayi operates "Mash," an AI solution that analyzes visitor data based on in-store CCTV footage. It supplies solutions to major companies such as Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motor Company, SPAO, and Coway. Sales in the first half of 2025 increased 130% year-on-year.

ControlM operates the "Restaurant Genie" platform, which integrates POS, ordering, and delivery systems essential for restaurant operations. It analyzes sales and customer data in real time to help restaurant owners improve operational efficiency and profitability. Stores implementing Restorantie have seen sales increase by 87% and store profits by 104%.

The two companies are currently discussing ways to collaborate with franchise coffee brand Abaut Coffee to introduce the solution to approximately 60 branches nationwide, with the goal of contributing to the adoption of AI in the restaurant industry and improving store operation efficiency.

Won Jong-kwan, CEO of ControlM, said, “Through our collaboration with MayI, we will continue to develop AI solutions that integrate unstructured data from restaurants with structured data to improve actual profits.”

Kim Chan-gyu, CEO of May I, said, “With this agreement, we will create new market opportunities together with Control M, which is leading the digital transformation of the restaurant industry.”
