Green Plus , a smart farm specialist, announced on the 1st through a public notice that it has signed a contract to supply a specialized rental smart farm located in Yecheon County, Gyeongsangbuk-do. The contract is worth 8.77 billion won, and the construction period is from September 2025 to December 2026. The smart farm facility will be built at 182 Maechang-ri, Jibo-myeon, Yecheon County.
This contract is part of a public support project targeting young farmers. The regionally specialized rental smart farm system aims to provide rent-free smart farm facilities to young farmers for a set period of time, allowing them to gain practical experience and lay the foundation for future entrepreneurship. The operational experience gained during the rental period continues even after independence, creating a virtuous cycle where farmers can reuse the smart farm system they previously utilized when starting their own independent business.
Prior to this Yecheon order, Green Plus signed a smart farm supply contract (totaling 7.4 billion won) with the Korea Rural Community Corporation on September 23rd for the Buyeo region in South Chungcheong Province and Boseong in South Jeolla Province. The company continues to expand its market presence by securing orders in the public sector.
As of 2025, the company's total backlog of orders will amount to approximately 60 billion won, reflecting growing demand in both the private and public sectors.
A company official stated, “Recently, orders for smart farms from the public sector have been steadily increasing, and demand from the private sector, including young farmers, is also on the rise,” adding, “As the domestic smart farm market is expanding in earnest, we plan to pursue both market expansion and technological advancements in parallel.”
