Green Ribbon , a health data-based insurtech startup, announced on the 15th that it participated in 'AI Festa 2025' held at COEX Hall A in Seoul from September 30th to October 2nd and introduced its representative services 'Life Catch' and 'Green Scout'.
Hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, this event is the flagship event of the nation's official artificial intelligence strategy week, "AI Week," where 193 domestic and foreign companies participate and share various industrial applications of artificial intelligence technology under the theme of "Leaping to become one of the world's top 3 AI powerhouses."
Green Ribbon's "LifeCatch" is an AI-based insurtech platform that integrates and analyzes users' insurance and medical data to find missed benefits and automate claims processing. As of August 2025, it boasts 2.4 million cumulative members and has reportedly returned over 45 billion won in total insurance benefits to customers. The service has garnered attention for streamlining complex insurance claim processes, ensuring user convenience and reliability.
Green Ribbon plans to further develop its "Life Partner" service by adding customized insurance analysis capabilities leveraging AI, large language models (LLMs), and data engines. This will help customers design insurance products optimized for their specific needs and plan healthy and economic lives. Furthermore, Green Ribbon plans to expand its personalized healthcare solution capabilities based on medical and behavioral data.
Also introduced at the event was "Green Scout," a research recruiting platform that leverages over 500 million medical data points to enable pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and medical device companies to identify and match suitable subjects for clinical trials using AI. The AI algorithm analyzes a variety of information, including disease names, medication history, and test data, contributing to shortened clinical trial periods and improved research efficiency.
Green Ribbon is expanding its collaboration with pharmaceutical companies and university hospitals, focusing on Green Scout, to grow into a global clinical trial contract research organization (CRO), and is also pursuing data linkage with overseas institutions and global clinical recruiting projects.
At the event, both services received high interest and positive reviews from attendees and industry professionals. In particular, there was widespread agreement with Green Ribbon's technological philosophy: AI does not replace human judgment, but rather serves as an assistant to support data-driven decision-making.
Green Ribbon CEO Cheon Myeong-ho said, “AI Festa was an important forum for discussing the future of data and technology, and Green Ribbon showcased AI innovations that connect insurance and healthcare.” He added, “We will continue to grow as a technology company that provides better insurance to individuals and a sophisticated research environment for industries.”
Meanwhile, Green Ribbon was finally selected as one of the 'Innovation Premier 1000' companies jointly promoted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Science and ICT, and the Financial Services Commission in June.
