Airbility, a future aviation mobility solutions company, announced on the 16th that it will participate in the 'Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition (Seoul ADEX 2025)' held at KINTEX Hall 2 in Goyang from October 20th to 25th and unveil its next-generation manned and unmanned aircraft solution based on electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL).
During the exhibition, Airability will showcase its air mobility vision and technologies in two booths: a standalone booth and the New Technology Pavilion. At the standalone booth, the company will unveil its 1.8-meter-long unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the AB-U10, for the first time. The AB-U10 is a small, tactical UAV equipped with a fixed-wing, vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) tilt propulsion system. Designed for rapid close-range reconnaissance and drone threat response, the UAV utilizes high-speed flight and a net-gun capture method to neutralize enemy drones while minimizing secondary damage, providing a physical counter-drone (c-UAS) solution.
In addition, scale models of the AB-U4 drone for training and the AB-U60 drone for 3-meter-long distances will be exhibited, allowing visitors to see the development of Airability's small to medium-sized drone technology.
The New Technology Pavilion will showcase the AB-U60 long-range unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the two-seat electric vertical takeoff and landing (EVL) personal aircraft AB-M1300 (1/15 scale), and its 15kW externally-driven ducted fan (EDF) electric propulsion technology. The AB-U60 is a platform suitable for public missions such as forest fire surveillance, maritime reconnaissance, and disaster relief, as well as defense industry applications such as tactical reconnaissance and target identification. Its "mothership" structure, which carries and operates small drones, enables medium- to long-range strikes, search operations, and counter-drone operations.
The AB-M1300 is a personal two-seat electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft currently in development, targeted for commercialization by 2028. Its goal is to enable personal air mobility without runway infrastructure. The 15kW externally-driven ducted fan, a key component of the electric propulsion system, boasts low noise and high reliability. Its domestic production is expected to contribute to securing a stable supply chain.
“ADEX 2025 is an important opportunity to showcase Airability’s technological prowess and future vision,” said Airability CEO Ryu Tae-gyu. “With the unveiling of the AB-U10, we will demonstrate our competitiveness in the global air mobility market with our next-generation manned and unmanned aircraft lineup.”
