Insung Information (CEO Won Jong-yoon and Cho Seung-pil) , a comprehensive IT service company, announced on the 16th that it held the ‘Insung Information-CISCO Seminar for Strengthening Security and Innovating IT Operations’ for IT and security managers in the financial sector at the Conrad Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul.
This seminar was designed to share the latest security technologies and response strategies for the financial sector, which is facing increasing security demands due to the expansion of digital transformation and strengthening data protection regulations. Co-hosted by Insung Information and global IT company Cisco, the event focused on security architecture and technology application strategies to address the changing financial industry.
Keynote presentations highlighted the limitations of network segmentation-based security, using recent security breaches as examples, and highlighted the need for a shift toward an integrated security strategy based on SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) and zero trust. AI-based threat detection, automated response systems, and measures to secure network visibility within cloud environments were also introduced.
In particular, Insung Information shared practical operational strategies along with actual security infrastructure construction cases, drawing on its experience accumulated through projects in the financial sector. This provided specific guidance on how financial institutions can technically address the security challenges they face.
Insung Information CEO Seungpil Cho said, “With security incidents occurring one after another in various industries, including the financial sector, information security is emerging as a core issue in corporate management.” He added, “Insung Information plans to support the establishment of a trustworthy security environment and the acquisition of proactive threat response capabilities based on its accumulated technological prowess and experience.”
