Mediana, a subsidiary of artificial intelligence company Selvas AI, announced on the 20th that it will participate in the "Global Health Exhibition 2025," held in Saudi Arabia on the 27th, and showcase key emergency medical devices, including automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and advanced monitor defibrillators. The company plans to use this exhibition as a catalyst for its full-scale entry into the Saudi market.
This exhibition marks Mediana's first participation since receiving certification from the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) for its AEDs A15 and A16 and advanced defibrillators D100 and D700. The company plans to demonstrate solutions suited to the local emergency medical environment, focusing on these certified products. Through meetings with medical institutions and procurement representatives, the company will strengthen its brand credibility and sales network.
The A15 and A16 models are AEDs designed for easy use by the general public in public settings, while the D100 and D700 models are advanced AEDs used in specialized medical settings such as hospitals and ambulances. Along with these products, Mediana has been expanding its presence in the global market by researching and developing emergency medical devices, including automatic CPR machines, using its own technology.
Mediana has already entered global markets, including Europe, based on its CE MDR certification. With this SFDA certification, it is pursuing entry into the Saudi procurement market and expanding local partnerships. Through its participation in the exhibition, Mediana aims to simultaneously enhance brand awareness and expand its sales network in the Middle Eastern emergency medical equipment market.
According to global market research firm Meticulous Research, the Middle East medical device market is projected to grow from approximately $6.4 billion in 2025 to approximately $8.8 billion in 2032. Saudi Arabia, in particular, is considered a key growth market in the region, and government-level investment in healthcare infrastructure is continuing to expand.
Mediana CEO Lee Seong-ho said, “This Saudi International Medical Device Exhibition is a meaningful opportunity to fully enter the local market based on SFDA certification,” and added, “Starting with Saudi Arabia, we will strengthen brand reliability and partnerships, laying the foundation for expanding the emergency medical device market in the Middle East.”
