Save the Children Central Regional Headquarters (Director Shim Hye-seol) announced on the 20th that it had signed a business agreement with five welfare centers in Asan City to promote children's rights and expand early life health management projects.
This agreement aims to expand Asan City's early life health management services, foster a stable childcare environment for families with at-risk pregnant women, and establish a professional and sustainable support system and social support network to support their independence. The agreement involved Asan Community Welfare Center, Asan West Community Welfare Center, Tangjeong Hanmaeum Community Welfare Center, Onju Community Welfare Center, and Eumbongsandong Community Welfare Center.
Save the Children has been running a pilot program this year to support pregnant women and children in crisis through first steps in childcare. It dispatches childcare savers to visit homes to ensure children are safely raised in their original families. Furthermore, the organization collaborates with relevant local organizations to identify cases and provide living expenses, among other support activities.
The directors of each welfare center stated that they will do their best to collaborate with Save the Children and strive to create a healthy growth environment and establish a support system for pregnant women and children in crisis.
Shim Hye-seol, head of Save the Children's Central Regional Headquarters, said, "Through this agreement, we will create a healthy child-rearing environment for families in welfare blind spots," and added, "We will work with five welfare centers in Asan City to identify and actively support pregnant women and children in crisis."
