Korea ST Trading (CEOs Won-dong Cho and Sang-jun Jeong) announced that it signed a ‘MOU for the Promotion of Issuance and Distribution of Century Store Investment Contract Securities’ with Hana Securities (CEO Sung-mook Kang) and the Century Store Association (Chairman Gwang-ho Lee).
This agreement aims to provide a new financing channel for small business owners and expand stable investment opportunities linked to the real economy for investors by issuing and distributing investment contract securities based on the sales revenue of small business owners who have received certification from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups as Century-old Stores.
Under the agreement, Korea ST Trading will provide a distribution platform and technological infrastructure designated as an innovative financial service provider, responsible for the distribution of investment contract securities related to Baeknyeon Store. Hana Securities will support the issuance market by designing product structures and recruiting investors, while the Baeknyeon Store Association will enhance the reliability and scalability of the underlying assets by identifying and supporting certified stores.
This agreement aligns with the financial authorities' "productive finance" policy and is significant in that it supports the practical growth of small business owners and fosters an investment ecosystem linked to the local economy. Furthermore, the structure, where small business owners share their business profits with investors, is a win-win financing method based on investment rather than loans, and is attracting attention as a new financial alternative for sustainable growth.
“This agreement is a meaningful starting point for creating a token securities market ecosystem for the local economy and small business owners,” said Jeong Sang-jun, CEO of Korea ST Trading. “We will create a sustainable financial ecosystem where investors and small business owners can grow together through various Centennial Store products.”
