Second Syndrome Co., Ltd. (CEO Hong Woo-tae), which operates Korea's No. 1 self-storage brand ' Mini Warehouse Attic ', announced that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with Shinhan Asset Management (CEO Cho Jae-min) to promote real estate investment in the self-storage sector.
This agreement is seen as an example of self-storage emerging as a new investment sector amidst the domestic real estate market's diversification away from its traditional focus on offices and retail.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to establish a cooperative system in various fields, including ▲ research on the domestic market related to the self-storage industry, ▲ establishment of a real estate investment model, and ▲ discovery of new growth areas in the real estate industry.
Based on its network of approximately 200 "mini-warehouse attics" nationwide, Second Syndrome has developed a real estate utilization model that transforms idle urban space into profitable assets. Furthermore, it offers a differentiated self-storage service through space automation technology that combines AIoT technology, unmanned operation systems, and a mobile-centric user experience (UX).
Hong Woo-tae, CEO of Second Syndrome, said, “This agreement will be a turning point for self-storage to fully connect with institutional finance,” and added, “Together with Shinhan Asset Management, we will create a new growth axis for the domestic real estate market.”
