On Wednesday, November 5 , the Goyang Industrial Promotion Agency (President Dong-gyun Han) and the Early Investment Accelerator Association (Chairman Jeon Hwa-seong) signed a ‘MOU for the Promotion and Scale-up Support of Goyang City Companies’ in Goyang City.
This agreement aims to strengthen the creation of a startup ecosystem centered around Goyang City and support the growth of promising companies by linking the startup support infrastructure and investment networks of both organizations.
Through this agreement, the two organizations agreed to closely cooperate in various areas, including ▲joint discovery of startups and support for linking with association member companies, ▲joint planning and recommendation of incubation and investment programs, ▲linkage of support projects targeting startups, ▲policy proposals and system improvement.
The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from both organizations, including Goyang Industrial Promotion Agency President Han Dong-gyun and the Early-stage Investment Accelerator Association President Jeon Hwa-seong. The event also discussed establishing a customized support model for startups in Goyang City and fostering a private-sector-led growth ecosystem through collaboration with association members (accelerators and investors).
Goyang Industrial Promotion Agency Director Han Dong-gyun said, “This agreement will serve as a practical model of cooperation that will promote the growth of startups and attract investment in Goyang City,” and added, “We will continue to expand collaboration with private specialized organizations to solidify the local innovative startup ecosystem.”
Jeon Hwa-seong, president of the Korea Early Investment Accelerator Association, said, “It is important to move beyond the support focused on early-stage startups and now connect them with the scale-up and global expansion of local companies.” He added, “We will work closely with the Goyang Industrial Promotion Agency to provide field-oriented, customized support and strengthen global expansion capabilities.”
