Pilsang (CEO Kang Pilsang), which operates the AI phishing detection solution 'Ssakdajab-a', announced on the 7th that it was selected as the best startup by Samsung Securities at the final presentation of '2025 Samsung Financial C-Lab Outside' hosted by Samsung Financial Networks (Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, Samsung Card, Samsung Securities).
Now in its sixth year, Samsung Financial Group's C-Lab Outside program aims to discover and nurture innovative startups that combine finance and technology. Of the approximately 400 startups that participated, 16 advanced to the finals. After a five-month joint proof-of-concept (PoC) process with Samsung Financial Group, four startups were selected as the top performers.
Pilsang was selected as the best startup in the Samsung Securities category for its "real-time malicious URL detection solution," which provides a control service that quickly identifies and blocks financial fraud sites and illegal reading rooms. In addition to the 30 million won in grants provided to the finalists, the winning startup will receive an additional 10 million won in prize money and the opportunity to attend CES 2026 in January of next year.
In this PoC, Pilsang monitored approximately 100 million URLs in real-time and detected financial fraud sites and illegal investment methods. Based on this, Pilsang enhanced its customized monitoring service for Samsung Securities. Furthermore, Pilsang was selected as a model for a consignment test by the Financial Services Commission's Fintech Support Center, and will continue its phishing site detection project with Samsung Securities for one year.
CEO Kang Pil-sang said, “This demonstration project utilizing malicious URL data collected from the mobile app Ssakdajab-a was an opportunity to verify the effectiveness of Pil-sang’s technology,” and added, “We will provide a reliable phishing prevention solution to the financial sector through AI-based real-time URL detection technology and contribute to creating a safe digital financial environment.”
