Genolution Wins Outstanding Presentation Award at the Silkworm, Insect, and Biomaterials Academic Conference

Green bio specialist company Genolution announced that it participated in the 68th Silkworm, Insect and Biomaterials Fall Conference held in Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do, and presented the results of its dsRNA-based research for suppressing Nosema disease and received an award for excellent presentation.

The Sericulture, Insects, and Biomaterials Conference is an academic event focusing on the industrial use of industrial insects and insect materials, and was attended by approximately 100 people from industry, academia, and national research institutes.

The research presented by Genolution at this conference is a technology to suppress Nosema disease, one of the major diseases in the beekeeping industry, by utilizing RNA interference (RNAi) technology, and is evaluated as one of the major achievements in the company's research on honeybee disease response that has been continuously pursued.

This award follows the award for Outstanding Presentation on the same topic at the previous Korean Society of Apiculture Summer Conference, marking a continued recognition of research achievements from both academia and industry. Presenting the results of its dsRNA research at the conference, Genolution demonstrated its potential to contribute to stabilizing beekeeping productivity and protecting industrial insect resources.

A representative of Genolution said, “This award shows that RNAi-based research, which is being conducted through the technology commercialization support project of the Institute of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (IPET) under the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, is establishing itself as a practical solution in the fields of beekeeping and insects.” They added, “We will continue to contribute to disease response and ecosystem conservation in the domestic and international beekeeping industry through continuous research and development.”
