Point Mobile wins additional 5.4 billion won contract for industrial terminals from Amazon.com.

Point Mobile announced on the 11th that it has secured an additional order from Amazon for approximately 7,400 PM86 industrial full-touch terminals, worth a total of $3.76 million (approximately 5.4 billion won). This order represents an approximately 267% increase in total sales to Amazon in 2024.

This contract is a follow-up project to the PM560 terminal delivered last year, and Point Mobile will be responsible for a significant portion of Amazon's terminal replacement business by 2025. The company has supplied terminals to Amazon in key markets such as India, Japan, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) over the past five years.

Point Mobile explained that its competitiveness has been recognized through its customized technical support and stable delivery capabilities tailored to the needs of Amazon corporations in each country.

The US is currently a key market for Amazon, accounting for approximately 60% of its global sales, with over 1 million terminals reportedly in operation. Amazon operates approximately 1,300 logistics facilities in 20 countries worldwide, with approximately 600 of these concentrated in the US.

A Point Mobile official said, “This order not only increases short-term sales, but also demonstrates supply stability and partner reliability,” adding, “In response to Amazon’s future demand for replacement devices, we plan to gradually replace competitor products with our own devices and expand our supply scope to new models, such as the industrial tablet TR54.”

He added, "During the management business review with Amazon last October, there were positive discussions regarding future directions for cooperation, and we plan to continue pursuing our supply chain expansion strategy through regular annual meetings."
