Moin, FIU Selected as "2025 First Half STR Outstanding Reporter"

Moin, a fintech company specializing in overseas remittances, announced that it was selected as an 'Outstanding Reporter of Financial Company Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) in the First Half of 2025' by the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).

At an awards ceremony held at the Seoul Government Complex on this day, FIU presented plaques of appreciation to two outstanding report managers, and among them, Manager Park Jong-wan of Moin was honored with the award.

Manager Park was recognized for implementing exemplary internal control practices by proactively identifying potential illegal transactions during the process of requesting face-to-face meetings related to overseas remittances, blocking the transactions, and then filing STR reports.

This evaluation was conducted by comprehensively examining financial institutions and electronic financial service providers, including the accuracy of STR reporting, disclosure to law enforcement, and utilization of audit and analysis services. The FIU announced that after an initial selection of excellent STR cases in each sector, the final winners were selected through deliberation by the "Excellent STR Evaluation Committee."

Moin is using this award as an opportunity to further strengthen its Financial Transaction Detection System (FDS) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) system.

Additionally, Moin operates a risk-based (RBA) internal control system that precisely assesses the risks of customers and transactions, and has established a closed AML process that integrates KYC (Know Your Customer), real-time screening, and FDS.

A Moin official said, “This award is the result of Moin’s STR reporting system and AML response level being officially recognized by the financial authorities,” and added, “We will continue to contribute to enhancing the reliability of the fintech industry through thorough risk management and creating a transparent financial transaction environment.”
