Table order company Tea Order announced that it won the Prime Minister's Award at the 20th Korea Internet Awards.
The Korea Internet Awards, hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, is Korea's most prestigious awards ceremony. It recognizes and honors companies, organizations, and individuals who have contributed to the development of the internet industry. The Prime Minister's Award is presented to companies that have made a positive impact on industry and the nation, based on a comprehensive evaluation of their technological prowess and social contribution.
Teaorder has been leading the digital transformation of the restaurant industry through solutions such as table ordering, multi-ordering, and AI-based store automation. It has been particularly recognized for its technological prowess in integrating various systems based on in-store order data.
The Ministry of Science and ICT stated that the data standardization foundation established by Tea Order has improved efficiency across the restaurant industry and related industries, including demand forecasting, inventory management, and customer analysis. The Ministry also cited its substantial contribution to digital transformation policies in offline industries as a justification for the award.
Kwon Seong-taek, CEO of Tea Order, said, “It is meaningful to be recognized for the time we have spent solving the process of converting various information arising in the restaurant industry into online data using our own technology,” and added, “We will enhance the competitiveness of the restaurant industry by strengthening data standardization and AI-based operational innovation going forward.”
