
Robotics company Brils (CEO Jin Jeon) announced on the 20th that it signed an industry-academic cooperation memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Daerim University for the development of next-generation robot technology and training of human resources.
On the 18th, Brils and Daerim University held a signing ceremony at Daerim University in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province. Key officials from both organizations, including Brils CEO Jeon Jin and Daerim University President Kwon Soon-hwang, attended the ceremony and agreed to jointly develop customized talent needed in industrial settings. Following the signing ceremony, they visited the mechatronics department's lab and educational facilities to discuss future collaboration.
This agreement aims to strengthen ties with Daerim University's departments directly related to the robotics industry, such as the Department of Mechatronics, the Department of AI Systems, the Department of Software, and the Department of Mechanical Engineering, thereby securing talent based on practical skills and accelerating the commercialization of robotics technology.
The main contents of the agreement include joint development of educational programs for robot technology development and field application, training of specialized personnel related to robot commercialization, establishment of joint research and development (R&D) promotion strategies and TFT formation, and mutual cooperation to foster a startup ecosystem.
Jeonjin Brils CEO stated, “As robotics industry technology rapidly develops, it is becoming increasingly important to cultivate practical human resources and strengthen technological development,” adding, “Through this agreement, we will contribute to the cultivation of practical talent by reflecting the needs of the industrial field in the curriculum.”
