Lotte Ventures, a corporate venture capital (CVC) of Lotte Group, announced on the 21st that it held a private demo day on the 19th to introduce the companies, share the results of collaboration, and attract investment for startups from the 13th L-CAMP and the 5th The Food Changers.
The event, held at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Jamsil, Seoul, was attended by approximately 150 investors and representatives from Lotte Group affiliates. This Demo Day was held privately to strengthen group-level collaboration opportunities and support follow-up investment and commercialization for startups.
Elcamp and Mirae Food are Lotte Ventures' flagship open innovation programs. Each company is assigned a dedicated investment reviewer to closely support collaboration and business growth between startups and group affiliates. This year's program, from the recruitment stage, focused on joint commercialization with group companies and execution-focused proof-of-concept (PoC), resulting in numerous tangible, linked outcomes.
This year, six companies participated in the 13th Elcamp program: Tydb, Omelette, A.DotCure, S-Omni, Open Format, and Jobex. Four companies from the 5th Future Food program, A.B.R., Romanceive, Nanu, and Monthly Week, presented at Demo Day.
The program involved dedicated mentors from 14 Lotte Group affiliates, including Lotte Welfood, Lotte Central Research Institute, Lotte Hotel, Lotte Department Store, and Lotte Duty Free, who implemented a total of 18 proof-of-concept (PoC) projects. Selected companies received practical advice through private office hours on legal, financial, HR, and PR matters, and were also given the opportunity to exhibit at the AFPRO 2025 agricultural and food startup expo. The program was operated in collaboration with the Korea Institute for Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, the Korea Institute of Agricultural Sciences & Technology, and ACND.
As a representative achievement, Tidb, an Elcamp company, is developing an integrated automated marketing solution model for small and medium-sized businesses through a PoC with Daehong Planning, aiming for launch within the year. Romansive, a future-focused food company, has expanded its product supply and store openings through PoCs with numerous affiliates, including Lotte Hotel Seoul, Lotte Department Store, Lotte Duty Free, and Korea Seven.
Lotte Ventures CEO Kim Seung-wook said, “We will not stop at just investing, but will also create results together with startups in actual business settings,” adding, “We will continue to provide support to create an environment where Lotte and startups can innovate together.”
