
Red Brick (CEO Yang Young-mo) , a startup that develops a content engine based on generative AI, announced on the 25th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Department of AI Convergence Education at Seoul National University's College of Education for joint research based on 'AI Convergence Education' and the expansion of global AI literacy.
This agreement is significant in that it represents a collaboration with the Department of AI Convergence Education at Seoul National University's College of Education, which includes faculty and researchers with practical experience in the educational field. Both institutions share the need for a sustainable AI utilization system in education and have established a comprehensive cooperative structure encompassing content development, educational program operation, technology exchange, and global expansion.
Redbrick has been enhancing the educational content creation and management environment by leveraging generative AI-based content automation technology and large-scale UGC datasets. Seoul National University's College of Education has refined this approach from a pedagogical perspective, increasing its applicability in real-world educational settings. Through this agreement, the two institutions plan to jointly develop a world-class AI literacy education system.
The scope of cooperation includes joint development and operation of AI convergence education and global AI literacy-based research and education programs; AI-related academic research, field surveys, and report publication; technology and knowledge exchange and joint academic events for the advancement of edutech technologies; and the establishment of a cooperative network for global expansion. Specific implementation will be carried out in stages, centered around a working-level council.
With this agreement, Red Brick plans to expand the scope of its research and education projects, including the development of generative AI-based learning tools and the design of educational experiences, and strengthen its cooperative network with domestic and international educational and research institutions.
Park Dong-yeol, head of the AI Convergence Education Department at Seoul National University's College of Education, said, "This collaboration will enable the development of AI learning tools that teachers and prospective teachers can utilize in actual educational settings." Yang Young-mo, CEO of Red Brick, stated, "This will serve as a foundation for expanding the AI education ecosystem. We will continue to support the development of future talent, leveraging our proprietary AI engine and accumulated content and educational experience."
