Suprema (CEO Jaewon Lee and Hancheol Kim), an AI integrated security solution specialist, announced on the 27th that BioEntry W3 was selected as the best product in the access control hardware category and BioStar Air was selected as the best product in the access control software category at the Readers' Choice Awards hosted by US security media outlet SecurityInfoWatch.
With simultaneous awards in both hardware and software categories, Suprema's innovation and reliability across its edge AI devices and security platforms are officially recognized in the U.S. market.
SecurityInfoWatch evaluates innovative new products released between April and June of each year across 19 categories. The evaluations are based on actual experience of security professionals using and installing the products. Voting was open to all readers during August and September, with one vote per IP. This year, over 2,200 industry professionals participated.
These award-winning products were evaluated in the US market for their robust security features, high reliability, scalability, and flexibility. The BioEntry W3 is an AI-based facial authentication device that enhances privacy and durability, while the BioStar Air is the world's first biometric-native cloud-based access control platform. It operates in a pure cloud environment without a separate management server, enhancing operational efficiency and agility.
Suprema showcased its biometric-cloud solution, which combines Biostar Air and BioEntry W3, at major exhibitions this year, including ISC West and GSX 2025 in the US, attracting new customers and garnering interest in the US, UK, and Australia.
Suprema CEO Kim Han-cheol said, "We are honored to have Suprema's security innovation and AI technology recognized in the US market. Receiving awards in both the hardware and software categories is significant because it acknowledges our vision of providing integrated security technologies that enhance the security and efficiency of all organizations."
