3 Billion Awarded $3 Million Export Tower Award

AI-based rare disease diagnostic company 3billion (CEO Changwon Geum) announced on the 4th that it received the '3 Million Dollar Export Tower' award at the '62nd Trade Day' hosted by the Korea International Trade Association.

The Export Tower Award is awarded to companies that have contributed to overseas market development and export expansion, based on export performance over the past year (July 1, 2019, to June 30, 2020). 3billion achieved this milestone by steadily increasing its exports to over 75 countries worldwide through its proprietary AI genetic mutation analysis model and whole-genome (WGS) and whole-exome (WES)-based rare disease diagnostic services.

The AI genetic mutation analysis model has been recognized for its speed and accuracy, which are essential in clinical settings, leading to a steady increase in testing requests from overseas hospitals and medical professionals. In the first three quarters of this year, sales doubled each quarter compared to the same period last year, solidifying the company's credibility in the global market.

3billion is experiencing rapid growth in diagnostic requests from key regions such as Europe, South America, and Southeast Asia, with overseas sales accounting for approximately 70% of its revenue. Leveraging the precision and global scalability of its AI-based genome analysis technology, the company is increasing accessibility to rare disease diagnosis and supporting the adoption of precision medicine even in countries with limited healthcare infrastructure.

CEO Geum Chang-won said, “This award is a recognition of the trust and growth we have built in the global market with our AI-based genetic diagnostic technology,” and added, “We will further expand our influence in the global rare disease diagnostic market by expanding overseas partnerships and advancing our technology.”
