Eight companies selected for the Gyeonggi Innovation Center's TIPS program

The Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation announced on the 9th that all eight companies it had invested in and recommended for the TIPS program were selected.

Episolution, a company developing next-generation semiconductor packaging solutions, was selected for the TIPS R&D program, which supports the deep tech sector. The program provides up to 1.8 billion won in R&D and commercialization funding. Seven companies were selected for the general TIPS R&D program: Reinventing Co., Ltd., Pixel Co., Ltd., Taxtinum Co., Ltd., Sentinel Deep Active Co., Ltd., The Ace Company Co., Ltd., Romantic Robotics Co., Ltd., and Fromlabs Co., Ltd., and they can receive up to 800 million won in support.

To increase the TIPS selection rate, the Gyeonggi Innovation Center assigns a dedicated coordinator to each company immediately after the investment stage and supports the entire R&D plan development and evaluation process. Selected companies also receive follow-up support from the Center. For example, Pixel Co., Ltd., which was selected for TIPS last September, was also recommended and selected for the Seongnam-type TIPS program, of which the Center is an operator, securing an additional 50 million won in commercialization funding.

To date, the Gyeonggi Innovation Center has produced a total of 45 startups, including 37 general TIPS companies and 8 deep-tech TIPS companies.

A center official stated, "The technological advancement of deep tech companies requires long-term time and funding. We will continue to actively invest in and support startups with high growth potential." They added, "We will continue our efforts to become a TIPS operator that excellent startups want to work with."
