
The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Korea Technology Finance Corporation, Chairman Jong-ho Kim, hereinafter referred to as “KIBO”) announced that it held a seminar titled “Global Expansion of Digital Healthcare” at the Seoul Biohub Conference Hall on Friday the 12th to support the overseas expansion of domestic digital healthcare startups.
This seminar, co-hosted by Kibo and Seoul Biohub, was designed to provide digital healthcare startups with practical information needed to enter overseas markets, including sharing global expansion strategies and success stories, and know-how on attracting investment.
About 50 people, including domestic and international startups, venture companies, and global VCs specializing in digital healthcare, attended the seminar and shared information and exchanged ideas on the latest investment trends.
At this seminar, Novartis Korea presented its global collaboration model, focusing on open innovation cases with startups. Digital Healthcare Partners and Highlight Capital each shared their investment attraction strategies and global digital healthcare investment market trends, providing practical insights. Monit garnered significant attention by presenting its experiences with challenges and overcoming them in entering overseas markets.
Next, Kibo introduced financial support systems and various support programs to support startups' overseas expansion, and solicited attendees' opinions on effective support methods.
Kim Jong-ho, CEO of Kibo, said, “This event is a meaningful opportunity to expand exchanges between digital healthcare startups and global investment institutions and systematically discuss overseas expansion strategies.” He added, “Kibo will continue to actively support domestic innovative companies to secure competitiveness in overseas markets and expand growth opportunities.”
Meanwhile, Kibo opened a Singapore branch in June to support the overseas expansion of domestic companies, and plans to open a Silicon Valley branch in January 2026. Building on these global bases, Kibo plans to more systematically support the global market expansion of innovative companies, including digital healthcare companies.
