Hansae Industrial Co., Ltd. received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy's Award for its contribution to sustainable management in 2025.

Global fashion ODM company Hansae announced on the 18th that it had received a commendation from the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy at the 2025 Government Awards for Sustainable Management. This award is official recognition of Hansae's ESG management achievements across the board, encompassing the environment, society, and governance.

The Government Award for Sustainable Management, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Productivity Center, is Korea's only ESG government award system. Each year, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy selects and awards companies and organizations that have achieved outstanding results in the environmental, social, and governance sectors and contributed to the spread of a culture of sustainable management.

Since declaring carbon neutrality in 2023, Hansae Industrial has been working to reduce its carbon emissions by promoting energy transition activities such as installing solar panels, purchasing renewable energy certificates, and using biofuels. This year, the company joined the global initiative SBTi and aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 46.6%, fossil fuel consumption by 50%, and energy consumption by 10.5% by 2029 compared to 2019 levels.

In the social sector, the company focuses on expanding employee welfare and strengthening human rights management. Various welfare programs are in place, including an in-house loan system, a women's lounge and nursing room, and a staggered work schedule for childcare. Based on these achievements, the company was designated a family-friendly certified company in 2024. Furthermore, the company conducts regular human rights impact assessments of all overseas production sites and listens to local employee grievances through multilingual communication channels, striving to improve working conditions across its global supply chain.

In the governance sector, a board evaluation system was introduced this year to enhance transparency and accountability in board operations. This system will comprehensively assess the board's composition, operations, and expertise, and will be used to recommend future director candidates and strengthen board capacity.
