Walkers High, which operates a flagship store, announced that it received a commendation from the Minister of SMEs and Startups at the '2025 Venture Startup Promotion Merit Awards'.
The Venture and Startup Promotion Award is a government award given to companies and organizations that have contributed to the revitalization of the venture and startup ecosystem and industrial development. Walkers High was selected for this award in recognition of its space-based retail innovation and advancement of unmanned retail technology.
At the awards ceremony, a total of 21 companies and organizations in the venture and startup sectors in the Seoul area received the Minister's Award. The event featured business speeches and acceptance speeches by company representatives, providing an opportunity to share the achievements of the local venture industry.
Walkers High operates a smart retail platform flagship store applicable to a variety of spaces, including offices, hotels, commercial facilities, and schools. Following the acquisition of a vending machine business, Walkers High commercialized Flag Media Vending Machine, a vending machine-based retail media technology, and achieved rapid growth in the retail tech sector, earning high praise. The company's efforts, including customized product curation for each space, unmanned store infrastructure operation technology, and expansion of its media business model leveraging digital signage, are recognized as creating a new spatial retail ecosystem.
Walkers High stated that this award is an official recognition of their challenges and achievements in spatial retail innovation, and that they plan to continue developing sustainable business models that combine retail and media to create exemplary growth cases in the venture and startup ecosystem.
