
The Gangwon Creative Economy Innovation Center held the Gangwon Bridge Angel Club year-end meeting at the Gangwon Innovation Center Forest Hall on the 22nd.
The event was held in an invitation-only format, and was attended by approximately 10 angel investors, including fund investors managed by the Gangwon Innovation Center, university professors, representatives of investment firms, and startup representatives.
The event consisted of a lecture on angel investment tax benefits, an introduction to the Gangwon Creative Economy Innovation Center's investment association, and a networking session. In the lecture on angel investment tax benefits, accountant Seo Hae-seok explained the tax benefits applicable to investment association contributions, using real-life examples.
Next, Kim Young-jin, head of the strategic investment division at the Gangwon Innovation Center, introduced the operation direction and investment strategy of the center's current and future funds.
Lee Jun-hee, CEO of Blue Ocean Ventures, who attended the event, stated that angel investment has a positive impact on the local community, including job creation and mitigation of population outflow, in addition to the growth of local businesses, and expressed his expectations for the continued role of the Gangwon Innovation Center.
The Gangwon Innovation Center plans to use this meeting as an opportunity to expand interest in angel investment in local startups and continue to strengthen its role as a bridge between angel investor discovery and investment execution.
