Seojin Systems, a global integrated manufacturing platform company, is launching its "Seojin AI Robot Foundry" business in partnership with AI robotics specialist Cowintech . Seojin Systems announced on the 24th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Cowintech on the 23rd to collaborate on advanced AI robotics and automation projects. This agreement aims to revolutionize the manufacturing paradigm in the global robotics industry.
The Seojin AI Robot Foundry concept applies the foundry model of the semiconductor industry to hardware manufacturing. Seojin Systems will leverage its extensive infrastructure at its Vietnam campus to handle robot manufacturing and mass production, while technology partners like Cowintech will focus on design, sales, and engineering. This structure allows Seojin Systems to expand its manufacturing capabilities into the robotics industry, while Cowintech can secure a stable production base without additional facility investment.
As their first collaboration, the two companies will apply their collaborative model to a global large-scale energy storage system (ESS) project. They plan to introduce Cowintech's AI-based mobile robot (AMR/AGV) automation solution into Seojin Systems' ESS project process to improve production efficiency. They plan to expand the scope of their collaboration to encompass advanced industries, including semiconductors and secondary batteries.
Seong Dong-soo, CEO of Seojin Systems, evaluated this agreement as laying the foundation for Seojin Systems to leap forward as a production base for the AI robot industry, and announced that the company will build a unique robot manufacturing ecosystem in collaboration with various technology companies. In addition to Cowintech, Seojin Systems is expanding its AI robot foundry alliance by forming strategic partnerships with technology powerhouses such as Samhyun and Case Lab.
