Adin Robotics Receives the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award for its "Super Gap Startup 1000+ Project."

Adin Robotics (CEO Choi Hyuk-ryeol and Lee Yun-haeng), a company specializing in robot sensors, was recognized for its outstanding performance in the 2025 Ultra-Gap Startup 1000+ Project hosted by the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and received the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award in the startup category.

The Ultra-Gap Startup 1000+ Project is a program that focuses on fostering deep-tech startups with unique technological advantages in 10 emerging industries, including semiconductors, AI, bio, and mobility. The program awards separate ministerial commendations to startups and CEOs with outstanding business performance.

Since being selected for the project in 2023, Aiden Robotics has received approximately KRW 400 million in commercialization funding over three years to develop a quadrupedal robot solution for detecting hazardous facilities such as power plants and chemical plants. The robot can be customized for a variety of customer environments and has completed verification tests at numerous domestic clients, including Korea Midland Power, contributing to the company's increased sales.

The company also achieved success in core robot components and modules, including force and torque sensors for collaborative robots and humanoid robots, and humanoid robot hands. Sensors have expanded their use in the collaborative robot market to include humanoid robots, enabling collaborations with major domestic corporations and robot manufacturers. Humanoid robot hands are being supplied to overseas research institutes, including Amazon Robotics in the U.S., and are building a track record in the global market.

Building on these achievements, Adin Robotics expanded its revenue from KRW 1.2 billion in 2023 to approximately KRW 2.4 billion in 2024 during the project period. This year, it has grown into a global deep tech company, supplying sensors to approximately 400 companies in 15 countries. It recently selected a lead underwriter for its KOSDAQ listing and has begun full-scale IPO procedures.

Lee Yoon-haeng, CEO of Adin Robotics, said, “This award from the Minister of SMEs and Startups is national recognition of our success in expanding our business areas and accelerating sales through the 1000+ Ultra-Gap Startup Project.” He added, “We will continue to achieve success in the global market as a supplier of core robot components and solutions.”
