AI and big data specialist B2N (CEOs Lee Chang-hyun and Lee Jeong-hoon) announced on the 23rd that it has successfully completed a Mongolian customs administration digital innovation project in partnership with Virnect and Rebellion. This project is part of the "2025 AI-Semiconductor Overseas Expansion Support Project" hosted by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), and will be implemented in phases over two years.
The Mongolian Customs Service has been manually classifying imported goods by HS Code, resulting in persistent workload burdens such as misclassifications and increased complaints. The introduction of this AI system is expected to enable both exporters and customs officials to accurately and quickly classify goods, thereby improving customs clearance and customs administration efficiency.
This demonstration project was implemented using "One Team" technology, combining hardware and software. B2N's RAG-based search augmented reality platform, "HYPERGLORY," was installed on a server equipped with Rebellion's NPU and optimized based on the LLM fine-tuned by Virnect. A customized model was built by training Mongolian customs policy and import/export declaration data, and the chatbot interface simplified the entire process, from product entry to HS Code recommendation and declaration completion.
Jang Du-won, director of the BituN Intelligent Information Technology Research Institute, said, “This project is the first case of utilizing Korean AI technology and semiconductors to contribute to solving overseas customs administration issues,” and added, “We will continue to advance our technology and expand overseas partnerships to innovate the global public administration sector.”
Building on this success, B2N plans to expand its business to other countries' customs authorities and develop it into a global standard AI customs clearance platform by adding multilingual support and real-time regulation update features. HyperGlory can be applied to a variety of business scenarios, including natural language-based Q&A chatbots, recommendations, decision support, knowledge management, regulatory review, and automated report generation. Its on-premise approach also enhances data security.
Furthermore, HyperGlory Solutions has received KTR AI certification, GS Grade 1 software quality certification, and completed software copyright registration, officially acknowledging its AI technology reliability and quality competitiveness. It has also secured a foothold in the domestic public sector market by being designated as a priority purchase target for public institutions.
