IT solution specialist Plantinet (CEO Taejoo Kim) announced on the 18th that it won the Excellence Award in the IT Solution category at the '24th Korea Artificial Intelligence and Software Company Competitiveness Awards' held at the Plantie Convention in Seoul.
The "Korea AI·SW Enterprise Competitiveness Awards" are an event that recognizes and awards companies that have contributed to the development of the domestic software industry. Winners are selected based on a comprehensive evaluation of their technological prowess and market value. Held annually since 2001, this year's event was hosted by the Korea Artificial Intelligence Software Industry Association (KOSA) and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT.
Plantinet received an award in recognition of its achievements in improving classroom efficiency and safety by supplying its artificial intelligence (AI)-based smart education solution, 'nBlock,' to public institutions such as education offices.
Enblock's core functions include blocking deepfake images, detecting gambling and drug sites, and analyzing YouTube streaming videos for obscenity. It is integrated with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SchoolNet (NIS) infrastructure and is being used by city and provincial offices of education nationwide.
In particular, the "Class Mode" feature provides a teacher-centered, integrated learning environment, from distributing learning materials to controlling smart device use. A representative from the institution introducing the system commented, "Enblock is a solution that securely manages students' learning environments while enhancing teacher convenience."
"EnBlock" is based on Planetnet's patented "Device and Method for Filtering Harmful Video Files," giving it a competitive edge over existing solutions in blocking a wider range of harmful content with higher accuracy. The company plans to expand its safe digital environment beyond schools to homes and public sectors by further advancing its AI technology.
“This award is recognition of our technological prowess in ensuring the safety of smart education environments,” said Park Cheol-jin, head of Plantinet’s business division. “We will continue to advance our AI-based education security technology to provide a safe and efficient learning environment.”
