Kibo Wins Double Crown at the 2025 Korea Auditors Association Conference

The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Korea Technology Finance Corporation, Chairman Kim Jong-ho, hereinafter referred to as “KIBO”) announced on Friday the 12th that it had won both the “Internal Audit Division Institutional Award” and the “Proud Auditor Award” at the “2025 Korea Auditors Convention” hosted by the Korea Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

The Internal Audit Division Award is presented to organizations that have established audit systems that meet global standards and have contributed to the organization's transparent management through effective internal audit activities.

Based on a digital audit framework, Kibo has strengthened its digital audit capabilities to proactively address future risks. It has also spearheaded preventative audits by enhancing internal IT controls and establishing a response system for vulnerable areas. Kibo has once again demonstrated the excellence of its audit capabilities and processes by winning the Internal Audit Award for the second consecutive year.

The Proud Auditor Award is given to an auditor who has contributed to enhancing the professionalism of internal auditing and innovating the audit culture. This year, Im Myeong-bae, the standing auditor of Kibo, received the grand prize and was recognized for his contributions.

Auditor Lim Myeong-bae was highly evaluated for establishing an innovative audit system in a rapidly changing environment through ▲ strategic audit operations to strengthen organizational capabilities and improve management efficiency ▲ preemptive audit activities through strengthening risk-based internal controls ▲ creating a proactive work environment for executives and employees through proactive administrative support, based on an audit system focused on preventive measures and an audit philosophy based on stakeholder cooperation.

Auditor Lim Myeong-bae said, “This award is a meaningful achievement achieved by all employees together,” and added, “Kibo will continue to advance its internal audit system and take the lead in spreading an advanced digital-based audit culture.”

Meanwhile, KIBO has achieved an A grade in the job performance evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance for six consecutive years and an A grade in the internal audit activity evaluation conducted by the Board of Audit and Inspection for six consecutive years. In addition, it has been continuously achieving results through the advancement of internal auditing, such as being selected as the best internal audit activity organization by the Board of Audit and Inspection in 2024.
