Coxwave and OpenAI Host Joint Hackathon

Coxwave (CEO Joo-won Kim) announced on the 10th that it will co-host the 'OpenAI Coxwave Hackathon: Multi-Agent Workflow' with global AI company OpenAI on January 20, 2026.

This hackathon is characterized by its hands-on development focused on multi-agent technology. Participants will form teams and develop "corporate AI agent solutions utilizing multi-agent workflows." Participants include developers from Korean AI startups, engineers from corporate AI departments, and entrepreneurs.

OpenAI engineers will provide on-site training on the latest technologies, real-time mentoring, and final judging. On the day of the event, intensive development sessions and final presentations will take place, and the winning team will be selected.

The winning team will receive a total of $50,000 (approximately KRW 73 million) in OpenAI API credits, and all participants will receive $100 (approximately KRW 140,000) in OpenAI API credits and an annual subscription to ChatGPT. Applications are open from December 10th to 28th.

“There is a growing number of attempts to build AI agents that perform increasingly complex, multi-step tasks,” said Thomas Jeng, OpenAI’s APAC general manager. “We will support Korean developers to gain first-hand experience with multi-agent technology and develop it into globally competitive products.”
